We were warned by the hotel to not be turned off by the entrance to the building, which was helpful, indeed. But, once you start climbing the stairs to the hotel entrance it just gets better and better. Loved this little hotel. Cozy, clean room with lots of style. We opted for the smallest and least expensive and it was... More

I would not recommend this hotel for the faint hearted. I'm not entirely sure how it has been awarded 4* it definitely falls more in the shabby than the chic category. When we arrived we were greeted by an extremely aggressive man. He firstly shouted at both me and my sister for ringing the buzzer more than once - I... More

Everything stems from the fact that the young sisters rang insistently the wrong door-bell, disturbing the neighbors. Then we didn't answer aggressively but the neighbors, called in error by the girls. Disturbed and without understanding the misunderstanding, the girls looked with an no aim eye the rooms and they decided to leave just after giving a quick look of the b&b:... More

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at La Villeggiatura with Barbara and her team. Located a short walk from the Rialto Market and within walking distance of all the sights and main areas of Venice... we only used the Vaperetto once to get to the train station to leave! To get to La Villeggiatura we followed Barbara's detailed directions... More

Absolutely everything we needed in Venice- friendly, helpful team running the B&b, lovely big room and centrally located. We arrived on the shared water taxi which was very convenient and would definitely recommend this option.

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful, gave us great recommendations for restaurants and travel to the airport. Breakfast every morning was nice. The rooms were quiet and perfectly fine. It's definitely more of a B&B feel vs. a hotel.

This was a beautiful Venetian B&B in a fabulous location near all the main sights and Grand Canal. The rooms were large and beautifully appointed with an excellent continental breakfast. The staff was superb but especially Barbara who spent a great deal of time making certain we saw all the top sights and had excellent recommendations for local seafood restaurants.

We loved the bed and breakfast in Venice. Not a lot of time was spent in the room but the bed was pretty god and it had a very spacious bathroom. I loved all the wood decor and the antiques. The Breakfast was nice and had good variety. Its a good place to stay if you do not want to... More

Looks like everyone else said it all, so here’s our two cents. Venice is very very beautiful; it was like entering into a postcard! And what a great way to start our vacation in La villegiatura! Stayed here for a couple of nights, our first time to Venice. We enjoyed our stay here, very cozy apartment with all the basics... More

We had a wonderful experience staying at La Villeggiatura for 2 nights in September. From the email welcome prior to our arrival to the detailed directions from the train station (absolutely needed), as well as site seeing recommendations and detailed list and map of lovely (non-touristy) restaurants, Francesca was wonderful at making us feel welcome and important. She took the... More
