The hotel is located just 3 minutes away from Santa Lucia station. Room was good, cozy and clean. Bathroom was also very clean. Breakfast however was ok ok. It is the location and cleanliness that are the main highlights.

Location is perfect. Only a few minutes away from St. Lucia station. Just not for older people since there is no lift. Otherwise, it's ok. Upon arriving, just walk for a few minutes, deposit your luggage and enjoy Venice.

Super convenient location. From Santa Lucia terminal, it's really less than 5 mins walk, if you've preprinted directions from google maps. Turn left once exited train station and walk straight ahead. Pay attention to a small alley on the left. Go into the alley and you'll soon see a Chinese restaurant. Hotel is about 10 steps away. Warning for those... More

With the price in mind, this hotel is perfectly okay. It is clean, but don't expect too much with regards to other facilities. No view from our room, but at least it's at a good location. The breakfast is pretty standard, but good. The Internet is unstable, but when it works it's good. All in all, a nice place to... More

We booked this hotel because it is small and close to the railway station. An old building renovated 10 years ago into hotel rooms. Rooms are comfortable with good bathrooms. Breakfast is self serve meats, cheese, rolls and cereals plus coffee/teas.A very adequate breakfast. ( Some travellers have unrealistic expectations when it comes to their first meal of the day).... 2 nights in the Hotel Ca' Lucrezia, a standard Hotel with few amenities, there was no one on the concierge when we arrived instead you collected your keys from a counter in a white envelope, this meant that the personal feel you get from most hotels did not exist, the staff when we met them the next day where friendly... Dont let this hotel's unpretentious exterior confuse you, its unpretentious inside as well. The price is reasonable value compared to other Venice Hotels. We stayed because of it's proximity to the railway station.Breakfast was adequite though the coissant's were rationed. There is no lift so try for a lower floor if you can. Rooms were clean but be warned the beds have... More

we actually stayed in that hotel at the end of March of 2014, but was so upset about the experience that took me all this time to write the review. We arrived there in the afternoon, and there was nobody to even open the door or help us checking in. We rang the doorbell and a neighbor opened the door... More

The hotel's best asset is its location. Right near to the train station in Venice is worth a lot. You can simply toss off your baggage and be free for all other attractions without worrying on how to move with your baggage to other locations. Other than that the hotel provides the basic needs of any hotel and can be... More

This place is perfect for people who care about basic needs and are just looking for a tidy room. The location couldn't be better: you really dont want to Carry a bag through the medieval streets of Venice, and this hotel is basically 2m next to the station, so perfect! The staff wasnt extremely friendly but they surely werent rude... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
