We had a great trip. The room is perfect location to walk around and easy to get to from anywhere in Venice. Claudette was the perfect host and breakfast was lovely. Claudette helped us with any questions too. We would highly recommend it.

Great location in the center of Venice, within a couple of blocks of the vaporetto (water bus) stop near the Rialto Bridge. Claudete was very friendly, served amazing breakfasts in our room, and was very helpful in providing a map of Venice and showing us where on the map all the places we were interested in seeing, along with others... We were very pleased by our stay at Caludette's B&B. She was very helpful and caring for our trip. We would recommand this place to any friend who visit Venice. Breakfast was satifying and the room was clean and comfortable.

We stayed here for 4 days in October. Claudette was very friendly and helpful. She showed us on a map how to get to all the places we wanted to go as well as other places she recommended. The place was very easy to find using their instructions and the location was perfect to get to all the attractions. Our... More

Claudettes Room in Venice is a super B&B for a short stay in the center of Venice. Great personal service starts with the first call for booking, information on directions, parking and busboat. Good room and admosfere. The location is briljant, a few steps from canal grande and on walking distance of all venice highlights....

We were on our honeymoon, coming from Croatia in July and this was in the middle of Venice and exactly what we needed. The host was very helpful, the rooms and the overall house was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Right away she gave us the best advice to "see" Venice, "Just get lost!". We did and it was absolutely... More

We just spent 3 nights in this very nice B&B. Everything was very good: the central location of the hotel (very close to Rialto Brige), the quiet atmosphere, the room is very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast served in the room is excellent (tea or coffee, fresh bread, butter and jam, yogurt, biscuits, cereals, fresh fruit...). Claudete is very... More

We booked this bed and breakfast for the first leg of our Italian honeymoon. We were recommended by friends and were satisfied with our stay. Claudete (owner/operator) was very friendly and accommodating. We had the room with its own bathroom. Pros: good location, reasonably priced, very friendly, good breakfast. Cons: Very simple accommodations (not extremely comfortable), lots of stairs (no... More

We (a couple) enjoyed our 2-nights stay at this B&B in Venice, which offers a great location and a very helpful person in Claudette. The breakfasts were great and the room as well - we had one of the 2 rooms with a shared bathroom. It is certainly hot in there during the day, in June, but is ok during... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
