Charming beautiful rooms in the city center. Still very quiet for staying so nearby all the highlights of the city. Good but simple breakfast and lovely welcoming by Carlo ! You will have everything you need staying here. Will recommend this place definitely !

We stayed in Hotel Ca Centopietre in October this year and I must say that we had a very comfortable stay , the hotel is cozy and tidy and located at a very central point with 10 minutes walk to the station. The staffs are very polite, helpful and friendly , specially CARLO who is always available with a warm smile... What stood out about Ca Centopietre was the hospitality of our host: Carlo. My stay here with my other half was made even more special because of him. We were lucky enough to have a free upgrade in room - to which he allowed us to stay at for the remainder of our four day trip - for no extra... More

Arriving late at night, this was a mini-mission to find, but it was totally worth it. Well positioned, but out of the way. 4 minutes to Accademia Bridge ferries, the Galleries and museums. Fantastic. Not to mention some interesting cafes in the back streets. Rooms and facilities are clean and functional and SO full of beauty and history. Especially loved... More

Typically for Venice Ca Centopietre is in an old venetian house. This has some advantages and some drawbacks. Advantage is a very good position, in walking distance from all main historical point. Also the breakfast room impressed me because of its stylish walls and ceiling. Drawback is bad functionality. The hotel is on the first floor (high) typically without an... More

I stayed for two nights, arriving late - Carlo was very accomodating and my mum and I managed to find our room without problems. We stayed in the Annex which was one of the smaller rooms, but perfectly fine for our visit. The bathroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Given the humidity, the airconditioning was a god-send.... More

Our room was tiny and the bathroom even smaller but it was a great, clean and well managed hotel. It was centrally located without being in the mayhem of the San Marco district. The staff are helpful and give great advice on where to go and how to get there. It is within a few minutes walk of Accademia bridge... More

We spent a week in this hotel and can definetely recommend it. Location is great: in Dorsoduro district, 5 min from Accademia bridge, 20 min on foot to San Marco and 10 min to Zattere embankment where you can breath sea air and take a walk in the evening. To get there from the airport take alilaguna blue line vaporetto... More

If you're looking for a budget option outside the San Marco district, this is a very good choice. The five stars take the fact that it's a budget option into consideration--it doesn't have the amenities of a luxury hotel or the price tag. You will get lost finding this hotel, I can all but guarantee. It's in the back corner... More

I only stayed in Venice for 1 night and wished I stayed longer. The room and bathroom is huge and this B&B's location is central. I'd definitely stay here again when I visit Venice in the near future.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
