If you're looking for a budget option outside the San Marco district, this is a very good choice. The five stars take the fact that it's a budget option into consideration--it doesn't have the amenities of a luxury hotel or the price tag. You will get lost finding this hotel, I can all but guarantee. It's in the back corner... More

I only stayed in Venice for 1 night and wished I stayed longer. The room and bathroom is huge and this B&B's location is central. I'd definitely stay here again when I visit Venice in the near future.

The owner looks cool and so did the breakfast :) We spent a nice time with their B-B in Venice, quite close to a ship bus station. There are several nice restaurants surrounding, quite convenient. I do like this kind of old building with a high ceiling and nice wooden decoration. There is fridge inside, which I could put a... More

Carlo was one of a kind. Treated us like family. Responded to any questions right away. Rooms were large and location was perfect and right by the water taxi location. Thank you so much Carlo, you went out of your way for us numerous times!! We greatly appreciate your warm hospitality and wish every place we stayed could even come... More

We were very disappointed with the room as I am allergic to mosquitos and I'm not even kidding our room was infested with them. I had to spray myself down every night and still got attacked even in the shower . Only positive is it's centrally located and 5 min walk to the vaporreta.

We spent 4 nights in Ca Centopietre and loved the hotel and location. Carlo is excellent - warm, welcoming and always available with advice. The location of the hotel is ideal, being a few minutes walk from Accademia Bridge. It's very quiet. We were able to walk everywhere, only using vaporettos to get to and from the train station. Plentiful... More

Carlo is the perfect host. His communication prior to our arrival was invaluable especially as Venice is a difficult city for the novice to get around on arrival. Carlo was very attentive and polite. It was our first trip to the amazing city of Venice and Carlo's knowledge and advice was excellent. The B&B was in the perfect location for... More

My partner and I stayed here for four nights last week and found it a very pleasant experience. The hotel is well situated with the Accademia Bridge very close and with St Margharita Campo with a lot of life in the other direction. We had a room on the ground floor with its own courtyard. Carlo, the owner, could not have... More

My husband and I stayed here in April. Firstly Carlo was fab, there was nothing he wouldn't do for his guests. He contacted us before we left the UK to give us directions to the hotel. It's location was perfect for us as it is nicely tucked behind a small group of food and gift shops. We stayed in the... More

The Hotel has a very good localisation, however not easy to find:) Thats 5/5 The Owner is very friendly he tries to help with every matter. 5/5 The breakfast could be better, i think its not really a matter of money in this price. You can have coissants and Baguette with butter and marmelade, normal Coffee, Tea. I found it... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
