Well, I arrived here with my fiance and our 2 9 year old children on 23/5/09. We flew from Liverpool to Treviso airport and caught the bus to the main terminal then the vaporetto to the Rialto Bridge stop. Initially, I did not consider Residence Corte Grimani because €280 per room for two rooms would be a bit pricy. Convenient to St. Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge, both with water bus transportation to anywhere in Venice. Large rooms and use of refrigerator and microwave--kitchen cooking facilities 50 euros extra. We had 5th floor overlooking rooftops--very quiet. Water taxi to airport will cost 110 euros. We stayed at the Corte Grimani while in Venice for a quick stop on our 5th anniversary, and while expecting a tiny, rundown room in the cramped spaces around San Marco, we were thrilled with the accommodations. Fantastic location in the heart of Venice. Large extremely clean and modern rooms - we had a family of 5 in 1 unit with no problems. Go for a unit overlooking the rooftops of Venice - spectacular. Highly recommend. more
