We stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel situated in the district San Marco and right in front of the Saint Stephan church. We got the family room which was like a small flat with one dining room separated from the bedroom and I suppose on request they could have arranged another small room maybe for kids which in our case... The hotel is in a excellent position and the lovely Raffaella and her staff are excellent hosts. Our room was spacious and unique and in keeping with the character of the building. Breakfast is excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I'm looking forward to returning already. 5 minutes from S. Angelo stop and 7 minutes from Accademia.

Lovely hotel. A little bit basic but far better than some ive seen. Everything worked. Raphaella was a pleasure to deal with. Excellent location. 5 minute walk to everything we wanted to see. Breakfast needs improving if it's to be a consideration of future bookings. It's just a hot drink, orange juice and a rock hard bread roll with preserves.... More

Ca'Morosini is a small and familiar place to spend your holidays in Venice. Breaksfast is served every morning from 08:30-09:30. The accommodation has XVII furniture in the rooms. It is situated in the city centre, so, from there, you can move everywhere. Thank you so much, Raffaella, you are very kind. Hope to be there very soon.

This is a wonderful small hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The distance from the boat at St Angelo is only a 5 minute walk, check it out online, very easy to get to. The location of this hotel is excellent, walking distance from most places of interest. Contact the hotel ahead to get the code for the door... More

This lovely old building is very close to all the best attractions in Venice. The staff was superb and caring and our rooms were comfortable and very clean. Venice is a beautiful city and being able to explore and experience its charms were made possible because of this location. Everyone at the hotel was helpful and treated us like family.... More

We spent one night in this lovely hotel in september and our only regret is that we could not stay longer. The inn is charming and the inn keeper fantastic. Some travelers mention the location is hard to find and this is true but with the directions the inn keeper supplied it was fairly easy even for jet lagged travelers.... More

We stayed 3 nights in August 2014 and it was dramatically amazing, one of the best holiday ever. The owner of this guest-house was a really lovely lady, other staff were incredibly nice, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, warm, clean, very nicely decorated and with a beautiful view. It's very well located to explore Venice only 10 min... More

I've now stayed here 3 times, and each time the experience is better. There isn't a more friendly group of people than the staff at Ca' Morosini in all of Venice. The rooms itself are spacious and comfortable. The location is not in a death trap of other hotels surrounding it but in a perfectly strategic location within Venice. Its... More

Title says it all really.! Clean and tidy, decorated in a traditional style. Fantastic location, right in the middle of everywhere but away from the main hustle and bustle. Rooms were cleaned very well and fresh towels supplied. Be aware, curtains do not pull closed. Took me a few attempts to work this out!!! They seem to be for decoration... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
