This guesthouse is tucked away on a quiet Square. It has delightfully efficient Air conditioning on all three floors and has a beautiful decor. Breakfast is brought to you in your room and includes delicious Italian coffee. Instructions on locating it would have been helpful prior to the visit. It is easy 10 minute walking distance from San Marco Square.... More

The two best features about this hotel are the location and the balcony (we were on the top floor). To get there from the airport (Marco Polo) the best way by far is to take the water bus (the company is: Alilaguna). It s cheaper than a taxi, more efficient than the bus and it already puts you into context,... More

This is a very mixed review. We stayed here for three nights in June 2015. The location is terrific as other reviewers have said but the price of a water taxi-there's no other way except walk-is 60 plus euros. I was horrified with the standard double allocated, average double bed pushed against the wall and the room simply not big... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review We spent nice time with you and your husband! As I told you, from Ca' Morosini there are 2 water-bus stop, 5 minutes by walk; the private water taxi is an expansive option. Before your arrival, you sent the request to have the biggest room and we explained that the room's type you... More

Hotel Venice – I’m not sure how to report on this hotel. The room itself was nice and spacious. The bathroom was quite large. The room overlooks a bustling square of restaurants. Our first night there we were up quite late, as light from the square flooded in and noise came up from below until 2 am. The next morning... More

Like many of the guests at this hotel I found the location perfect for the city. It was close to San Marco square without being surrounded by many of the tourist traps. The hotel was lovely for me and my 18 year old son, who was traveling with me. The room was spacious, a corner unit over looking the square. Breakfast... More

We stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel situated in the district San Marco and right in front of the Saint Stephan church. We got the family room which was like a small flat with one dining room separated from the bedroom and I suppose on request they could have arranged another small room maybe for kids which in our case... The hotel is in a excellent position and the lovely Raffaella and her staff are excellent hosts. Our room was spacious and unique and in keeping with the character of the building. Breakfast is excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I'm looking forward to returning already. 5 minutes from S. Angelo stop and 7 minutes from Accademia.

Lovely hotel. A little bit basic but far better than some ive seen. Everything worked. Raphaella was a pleasure to deal with. Excellent location. 5 minute walk to everything we wanted to see. Breakfast needs improving if it's to be a consideration of future bookings. It's just a hot drink, orange juice and a rock hard bread roll with preserves.... More

Ca'Morosini is a small and familiar place to spend your holidays in Venice. Breaksfast is served every morning from 08:30-09:30. The accommodation has XVII furniture in the rooms. It is situated in the city centre, so, from there, you can move everywhere. Thank you so much, Raffaella, you are very kind. Hope to be there very soon.

This is a wonderful small hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The distance from the boat at St Angelo is only a 5 minute walk, check it out online, very easy to get to. The location of this hotel is excellent, walking distance from most places of interest. Contact the hotel ahead to get the code for the door... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
