We stayed in this pleasant hotel on December, 2015. This was 'off-season', so a 62.5 euros/night stay (including breakfast) is a budget stay in Venice. Here is the summary: Pros: + very well located in the heart of Venice, yet in a calm neighborhood just off the square Campo San Stefano + a nice 10-12 mins walk away from San... More

This former monastery sits around a paved courtyard filled with flowers that is also home to a friendly cat. How nice to eat outside in such quiet. Rooms were plain and simple and, as is the case in Venice, close to everything. Good value for money and helpful reception staff.

College dormitory chic. Pleasant staff. Nice Continental breakfast. Value for dollar is great. The front desk staff was very helpful. Extremely clean. Close by shops amd restaurants. Not far from St Marks Square. Extremely nice economy Hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Really well located with access to two vaporetto stops close by including san angelo for the alilaguna from the airport. 5-10 minute walk to everything [saint marks square, the grand canal, galleria d'accademia]. Rooms are basic - beds a little uncomfortable. Bit disappointed that the only safe available turned out to be in reception. They very kindly offered to let... More

This hotel is very quiet, very simple, but is close to mostly anywhere in Venice. It also has a beautiful courtyard that you can enjoy during breakfast (quite good), and also you can take your wine/beverages and food any other time during the day. At night is very calm and enjoyable. Simple place, clean and good price.

Average tourist hotel. Ok, but nothing special apart from the garden. Not refined but ok and sufficient breakfast. Very friendly staff at breakfast. Not very interested staff at reception desk. A little drab complete room on the 3rd floor with alas on and of noise from the airco on the rooftop aside. A bit dated bathroom that did not feel... More

This is a lovely basic hotel in a fantastic location. San Samuele and St Angelo vaporetto stops are both a 5 minute walk so not far to drag your luggage! The thing to note is that the boat to and from the airport goes from St Angelo, so very handy indeed. The rooms are small, clean and comfortable and the... More

Having waited a lifetime to visit Venice, my expectations were exceeded! Although this hotel was difficult to find at first, its central location was very much appreciated by us "newbies" to Venice. The breakfast was good, room was clean and not too expensive.

The hotel is simple but was clean and tidy. It's location - close to the St.Angelo vaperetto stop makes it ideal. For those that don't know, the key to accommodation in Venice is, after price, how far do you have to drag your bag from the nearest stop to your hotel. St. Angelo to the hotel is only a short... Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
