We were a group of four and share a great clean and warm room with a big and clean bath too.As far as it's not a luxory place, and by what I have listened about the average hotels in this city I really recommend this place to whoever who wants to have a short period of time in this city... more

The only good thing I can say is it was in a good location extremely close to San Marco square. It is a tired hotel that sure it is cheap but it was not clean. It felt dirty and the bathroom seemed new but the shower stall must have never been cleaned because you cannot see the grout for all... more

As this hotel is only a 2* then you are not going to expect a luxury hotel - and this isnt - but it has a great location - just by St Marks Square. The rooms are very basic - they dont even have tea/coffee facilities in the room - but it's clean and the staff are very friendly and... more

After arriving late at night and walking up and down in Venice to find the hostel we had booked, we discovered they hadn't respected the reservation (bring a good map and directions, at night it's rather hard to find anything in Venice). After apologizing for this small inconvenient, they told us to go to this two star hotel, which is... more

Hotel Astoria was very well located on a charming street near St. Mark's Square. And the sheets were clean. That's about the extent of the positive comments I can make about the hotel. The room we had was dreary and tired and didn't seem particularly clean. However I know Venice is very expensive, so perhaps this is the best you... more

This was a very nice hotel in Venice right near St. Mark's. The room in the right section was the largest we had in Italy, in fact, it was a two room suite. The only problem was the lack of an elevator. The staff was very helpful and spoke good English. Be careful of arriving in Venice and know exactly... more

We found the hotel clean and secure and friendly. Our room was huge. The staff spoke great english. There is a fantastic deli and patisserie a few doors down and close to everything. The only issue was the chuch bells going off in the middle of the nght and early in the morning but that is not hotel issue. more

We spent a month travelling around Italy and Hotel Astoria was by far the worst accommodation we had. Staff were extremely rude and worst of all, they went into our room and moved all our stuff from a front room to some dingy little hole at the back of the hotel without telling us. We found out after arriving back... more

Hotel Astoria in Venice is the worst hotel you can ever stay in. The bathroom has moulds. The Front desk staff are rude and unfriendly. It is just terrible. The only good thing is it has a great location. more
