This was our first time to Venice and it certainly wont be our last! We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel, we would definitely rebook this hotel again and recommend to others who are planning a trip to Venice. Although situated down a narrow passageway it was easy to find and is well signposted even at night. We had... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a trip around Germany, Austria and Italy. I parked my car at the airport (Car park 4 at about 5 euros a day) which is approx 100 meters to the waterbus stop serving Venice. Due to the drive from Austria, we arrived late but found the hotel with no problems and... More

This hotel was recommended by a friend and it was everything she said and more, we loved it. Its down a tiny alley but the instructions sent to us on how to find it were brilliant we had no problems finding it. Our room D looked out over a small canal which was noisy if the window was open but... More

We're so happy to read your words and appreciation. This in particular makes us wonder that nowadays everyone of us has every sort of tool available, which allows to know what to expect when coming to Venice from the "other side of the world". On the other hand, there is still that bit of uncertainty that makes us champ at... More

We stayed in a room overlooking our very own canal. It's a really charming B&B and I highly recommend staying here. The breakfast was good, the best part is that I ate my breakfast in bed every morning. It is nicely tucked away from the main centre but still a really short, beautiful walk to the Rialto.

We really enjoyed our stay at this B&B , the location was very good in the Rialto area, a comfortable room, the kettle a bonus, a rarity in Venice, a really ample breakfast in nice surroundings, the staff were very helpful, if I had to find fault the room maid could of done a little more, but all in all... Stayed here again this year for five nights and were welcomed back like old friends. Thankyou so much Mauricio and Laura. We were so lucky we decided to stay at the Locanda Poste Vecie. Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
