- Very difficult to find (even the shop owners were puzzled when we showed them the address), it's near the fish market with red covers - Staff & manager were friendly, however, when we told them about the broken air con they were not helpful at all and did not even offer to compensate for their shortcoming. We ended up... More

Dear guest, we're very sorry to read your words, we are not used to bad reviews, but in this case we understand the inconvenient of sleeping without air con. Unfortunartely this accidents can happen anywhere at any time and we managed to get it repaired as soon as possible, unfortunately right after your stay. We want to underline that we... More

we always try to find a moderately priced boutique hotel close to public transportation . This small 14 room hotel fit the bill perfectly. It is located adjacent to the Fish market vaporetto stop just one stop from the Rialto bridge. It was a five minute walk from the vaporetto stop assuming you don't get lost which you will because... We spent a lot of time planning our accommodation before arriving in Venice as we knew it was quite expensive and we were on a budget. Thankfully this place fitted the bill perfectly! The hotel (it is more like a B&B it's so homey) is located five minutes from the Rialto bridge down a very quiet alley. This is perfect... More

The location is incredibly hidden - down two tiny (really tiny!) lanes - but all the more charming for it. Nonetheless, it's very centrally located. Our host was friendly, helpful and hardworking. The breakfasts were substantial, varied & filling. Our room was ok but my brother's room on the top floor was very charming - but no elevator. Our toiletries... More

Just arrived back from here, although we found it ok,it can be tricky hidden down a narrow 25 metre street. If you head for the Rialto Fishmarket, you'll be within 30 metres of the Hotel. It's really a neat/tidy guest house. We paid £55pppn,Mid may though had to book it 6 months in advance to get the room for 4 nights.Central Venice (From the... More

This hotel (while possibly considered by some to be a bed and breakfast) is almost a boutique establishment. We considered everything about the hotel to tick the boxes of comfortable, welcoming, friendly, excellent value, excellent service, excellent breakfast, excellent location. A very convenient location, close to the Rialto Mercato water bus stop, so about the 3rd halt when taking the... More

Maurizio was an excellent host! For the money, this place cannot be beat in Venice: right in between the train station and the main attractions in Venice, working internet (and decently quick), and a solid breakfast.

We stayed five nights here and would recommend it to anyone. Our room was spacious with a king size bed and nice bathroom. There was a larger room next door where a family stayed. Breakfast included boiled eggs, sliced meats, cheeses, croissants, rolls, coffee, juices, teas. The owner, Maricio ( I think that's his name; that's what we understood and... More

This was our first time to Venice and it certainly wont be our last! We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel, we would definitely rebook this hotel again and recommend to others who are planning a trip to Venice. We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a trip around Germany, Austria and Italy. Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
