where do I start, first of all the hotel is clean, the rooms are pretty spacious for Italy and the bathroom is adequate (not too small or big)!! Secondly the transit system is quite good, as many people have mentioned, the number 15 bus takes you from Marco Polo Airport and within 10 minutes you have arrived at the station... more
hotel staff where very helpful and friendly.rooms are tidy and clean , and air conditioned. breakfast was excellent and a great choice of food. public bus was almost outside the door and came nearly every 10 mins. bar was open all the time but the receptionist was the one that served you.they advertise free shuttle, but we found that they... more
This was one of the cheapest hotels near the Venice airport and we turned out to be pleasantly surprised when we got there. We took the #19 bus from Piazzele Roma and got off at the Altinia stop which is basically right in front of the hotel. We caught the bus to the airport down the street the next morning.... more
We stayed at the Hotel Altiere1 day prior to our cruise and 2 days after the cruise. Upon landing at the airport we called the Hotel and they sent a driver to pick us up. Very nice touch. The location of the hotel is great, right near the bus stop to Venice, 20-30 min ride. The hotel offered a free... more
The hotel itself couldn't be faulted. The staff were exceptionally attentive and the room was excellent (we'd requested a balcony and got it!) The distance from the city wasn't a problem..no.19 bus every half hour from virtually outside hotel..15-20 mins. ride. The staff will point you in the direction of their sister hotel, the Ducale, for evening meals. We went... more
Stayed 8/11-Oct 2007 £137 B&B3 nights!! I'll grade this Hotel on the fact that it is rated as a three star and therefore I'll give it a 4 out of 5. The hotel is very clean and well presented. The rooms were adequate space wise and the bathroom was better presented than the main room(304). There was only a shower... more
we have just come back from 4 days in venice staying at the hotel altieri. we made use of the free transfer service that was excellent. we were a littlel wary of the hotels location but we now have to say having been there that the location is absolutely no problem. the bus, as other people who have been have... more
It is only a 5 minute journey on the 15 bus from the airport and the bus stops right around the corner from the hotel. The 19 bus stop is only about 100 yards to the right of the hotel and it is about 20 minutes into Venice. All in all the travelling is very easy and convenient. The hotel... more
My husband, 3 year old daughter and I stayed here recently and found the place quiet, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was typical of European hotels. The sister hotel: Hotel Ducale, had free internet use. We ate there and found the meal average. The salad and vegetable buffet was very good though. The hotel was close to everything- laundry, post... more
