Mattia was an excellent host. His family has been in Venezia for a long time, so he knows the city very well. The room was very clean and very large. Wifi was a bit weak, but you can get reception in the breakfast room. Breakfast and coffee was great. It is very easy to get to the B&B. Just follow... More

This unique guest house is a beautiful oasis in a nice area. There is a lovely garden to enjoy your breakfast or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Our holiday was very good and enhanced by The owner Matteo who is very nice and will help you plan your time to see Venice away from the main tourist area... More

We stayed for one night only, but would like to come again! We were welcomed by a gracious host who advised us on what to see and where to eat. Everything was spotlessly clean. The house is charming, the bedroom, which faced the canal was beautifully furnished. The bathroom was well arranged and the shower excellent. The location is excellent.... More

We stayed at Ponte Chiodo for 2 nights while we were visiting Venice before heading to Florence. Venice was our first stop after a VERY long day of travel, which made it necessary to feel at home/welcome upon arrival. Although our host was not present, he had given extremely accurate directions and detail in order to get to the B&B... More

Although my husband and I just stayed for two nights in this guest house, we had a very happy and memorable experience in this guest house. Firstly, this style of this guest house is really cozy and warm. I specially adored the lovely garden. The interior is very neat and tidy which made my stay very comfortable. Secondly, the guest... I'd like to tell people 3749 Ponte Chiodo was rubbish, or keep it a secret, so there would be rooms available when I return to Venice. But that would be a total lie and so unfair for potential visitors and on the owners. It is such a fine place. Great location, lovely rooms, enjoyable breakfast and splendid host. My wife... More

Enjoy one of the world's most incredible cities like a true Venetian - away from the touristy hustle and bustle of St Marks Square but within a easy walk of everything. This was our second stay with Mattia who is a truly gracious host attending to our every need and advising us on the "best" of Venice particularly the good... More

We recently stayed only one night in this hotel, and could not be more impressed. Even before we arrived the service was outstanding. The owner called us before our outward journey to inform us of a public transport strike in Venice, and he gave us invaluable advice relating to travel to the hotel from the airport. This was very much... More

We had a lovely time staying at this charming bed and breakfast. Our room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. The shutters open up to a view of the canals and historic bridge. Matia was attentive and helpful, giving great advice about what to see and do in Venice. Breakfast was tasty with delicious cappuccino. Things may be... More

Ponte Chiodo is a perfect mix of romance and comfort. You arrive at "the green door" and immediately you walk into a very pretty garden area where you can enjoy a glass of wine, read a book and where you eat breakfast every morning. The décor of the B&B is breathtaking especially the exterior brick. The B&B is also nicely... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The guest house gives you the opportunity to be in the centre of the city, but at the same time, is located on a quiet street away from the busiest tourist thoroughfares.I wish also to specify for all the Tripadvisors readers that if you are looking for big standard 4/5 stars hotel with huge king size bedrooms furnished with fake baroque golden stuff and maybe 3 minutes walk to S.Mark Square then Pontechiodo is not the right place you should stay.If you are looking for small cozy well renovated picturesque guest house located in not touristic and alive Cannaregio's district, with nice bedrooms, real antique furnitures and quiet view over a canal then Pontechiodo is the right place for you! ... more   less
