Venice is exciting and if done well exhausting. Consequently it was a pleasure to savour at night the serenity and views of Venice from our 3rd floor window (or in Italy our 2nd floor widow). A charming B&B, very close and convenient to the vaporetto stop from both train station and airport. I am not sure how we found this palazzo,called "athomeapalazzo" but it is a gem. We travelled in Italy for ten days, staying in expensive suites every night but our room in this fourteenth century palace, now a private home, was the best accomodation we had at a fraction of the usual prices we paid.
