I stayed at the Ca´Vendramin hotel last night and I simply did not want to leave. This charming hotel is located 10 minutes´ walk from Rialto Bridge, 5 minutes´ walk from Madonna dell ´Orto and close to plenty of restaurants, shops and lovely Venetian streets, including Cannaregio area with a great choice of places to eat and enjoy a bellini... We booked this room on hotwire and although the location and staff were both great, I wouldn't recommend as if you book on Hotwire you get what they called an 'economy room'. We didn't know this would be the case and the bed was tiny (my boyfriend is 6'5"). The room was also small but that would have been okay... More

I stayed at this hotel for a sight-seeing holiday with family. The hotel, in my opinion, was faultless. The staff were all so friendly, especially one of the men that worked there, Tilly. He in particular went above and beyond: recommending restaurants and giving advice and directions. He completely transformed our holiday. We didn't have much time in Venice and... More

Hotel room nice decor. Undercooked bacon and ridiculously slow internet. Also the recommendations on where to eat were pretty terrible. We were amused that the room was padded. But location was great and room was spacious and clean.we overall enjoyed our stay.

Greeted upon arrival by a charming man named Tilly who met us at the door and immediately knew our names! He then proceeded to tell us all about the Venice and the surrounding area and armed us with maps and tips on everything. We were early so he checked to see if our rooms were available and upon finding out... More

Great location if you want to stay away from the maddening crowd, yet within walking distance to the sights. Situated in the charming area of Cannaregio, with lots of canal-side bars and restaurants. We stayed in a Junior Suite, good for 3 people, bathroom on the tiny side though. The big plus of this hotel is it's staff, specially Tilly,... More

Standard room was adequate for our needs (couple in our late 20s). Didn't spend much time in the room but it was perfect location- easy walk to Rialto and the supermarket round the corner helped keep costs down (water was half the price compared to other shops closer to St Mark') The bathroom was a decent size but the shower... Just returned from a weekend break booked through Expedia. We had an economy room (101) on the ground floor overlooking the canal. It is small but adequate as we only used it for sleeping! En suite bathroom & shower were fine. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Tilly was a mine of useful information. The area is quiet but... More

We booked the superior suite for three nights and received a call the day before we flew out to say they had double booked. We were pretty much forced into accepting the junior suite for two of the three nights with only a small discount (although any discount took persuasion). Apart from that we loved the hotel. We ended up... More
