Location of this small, friendly B & B is central, rooms are clean and comfortable, Mario and Esmeralda are very helpful and friendly. Reasonable price as well. We stayed for several nights and got to know Venice well.

My sister and i stayed for a few days in late may 2015, and we thought it was perfect. Other available accommodations were in more densely populated areas with excessive amounts of tourists, noise, associated shops, and much more expensive. We very much enjoyed walking everywhere during the day, into the night, and finding our way 'home' to our quiet... More

Owners particularly helpful. Met us at water bus as promised. Clean, adequate room with good air con. Shared bathroom as advertised, but no problem. Good location within walking of main sites .Venice does have lots of steps though,A couple of reasonably priced "bars" close by.Though "full" a quiet good night sleep. Simple breakfast but very accommodating, informative hosts

For my second trip to Venice I chose again this place close to every interesting attraction in the heart of the city. Mario and Esmeralda were lovely as always and we enjoyed very much our conversations every morning during the breakfast. We felt as if we were friends. Thank you!!

My wife and me call this place home because it really offers us homelike atmosphere and comfort. The owners are very helpful explaining to us the history and resorts of the city, and the complimentary breakfast was a hearty welcome to travelers. This homely feeling is one of our best memories of Italy.

We really enjoyed our stay. A lovely place, very welcoming clean and above expectation. Esmerelda was a gracious and informative host with invaluable information. We can't wait to return. Breakfast was lovely and the shower had good pressure.

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
