Travelling around Italy for our honeymoon and stopped in Venice for one night and found this gem! Such friendly staff and a lovely boutique feel to the place. We had the top room which had its own personal terrace, breakfast was delivered at our preferred time and enjoyed whilst looking at the view. Easy to find but were given the... More

This was our second stay at Ca Bonvicini and it was just as great as the first time. The location is perfect - off the beaten path, but still close to everything you want to see. We love the neighborhood cafe's.

We stayed here on our honeymoon 10 years ago when the B&B was fairly new. We returned in mid-August exactly 10 years to the day and the first thing that I noticed was how new and clean the B&B still looks inside which shows it is well looked after. Our room overlooked the canal and was beautiful inside, with typical... More

My wife and I loved this b&b. Great venetian style decor throughout, breakfast brought to your room in the morning and friendly helpful staff. The location was fine for us, 5 minute walk from the nearest waterbus stop, 10 mins walk from Rialto bridge and 15-20min walk to St Marc square. Would definitely recommend to others.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit difficult to find but after calling one of the owners, she came and met us at a square near the hotel. It was really hot that day, and she immediately offered is something to drink. The check in was personal and very informative. You get a great map... More

The staff was extremely helpful from start to finish- they were wonderful! The room was beautiful and overlooked a canal. There were huge windows along the entire wall. This was the perfect place to stay in Venice. We would 100% stay here again!

Venice is a remarkable city, but as I have understood from my previous two stays there, hotels are generally quite overpriced. However, Ca Bonvicini is an exception!!! You feel absolutely at home there. It is clean, neat and very beautiful. Located on the narrow street and facing the canal, it has just a few rooms. The personnel is very nice,... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
