We stayed in a B&B 'Ca Bonvicini' in Santa Croce, which was quietly situated just outside the hustle and bustle of the heart of San Marco, yet close enough to explore the best of Venice. The room at the top of the house was small yet we had the benefit of our own roof terrace - perfect breakfast in the... more
For our first trip to Venice we were entranced by this elegant little B&B. We paid a few euros extra for the canal view and we were not disappointed. We spent three weeks touring Italy and this B&B and Venice was by far the most romantic experience. more
We stayed at Ca Bonvinini for 3 nights recently for my partners 30th birthday present. The BandB is located perfectly in San Polo/Santa Croce. You can walk to all sights and areas without having to put up with the immense crowds and inflated prices that you would experience elsewhere. Rialto Bridge is about 1 mins walk (once you have figured... more
My wife and I recently spent a few days at the Ca' Bonvinici in Venice. We really enjoyed our stay. While the rooms are a bit opulent, they truly have the feel of old world Venice, and help you truly take in the surrounding atmosphere. The room was large, and we found the pictures on the website to be very... more
Sabina is an asset to this hotel. She is sweet....always smiling...and will help you with all your needs to make your trip memorable. She suggested great restaurants and places to visit. you will love this off-the-beaten path bed & breakfast hotel....we did! more
Very romantic place to stay. Found it very quiet yet easy to access all the sites within Venice within a 10 minute walk. Ca' Bonvicini staff are very pleasant and easy for us as english speaking visitors. Breakfast is simple, and the B&B is very quiet all day long, especially in the evening as there is no staff present (you... more
Our vaporetto stop was San Stae and with our luggage on wheels, clip clopping behind us we made our way though the stone passageways, over tiny bridges experiencing the feeling of being in a maze that is so typical of Venice. The narrowness of the last left turn led us to brass plate on a door- Ca' Bonvicini. Upon entering... more
We stayed here in April 2009. We found the place utterly charming, with lovely furnishings and the staff wonderfully friendly. The location is off the beaten path-- away from the crowds of San Marco and Rialto, yet still a close walk (5-10 minutes to Rialto). The peace and quiet at night was wonderful...and the morning continental breakfast-in-bed was divine. Cappucino,... more
Quit location, but close enough to reach every important place by foot. The room was spacious, vanity mirror in the room, an amazing bathroom, double shower heads, great water pressure. Great value for the money we paid (195 euros/night) and included a typical Italian breakfast of coffee/milk/juice, croissants/rolls, melba toast/nutella, and yogurt. We will definitely stay here again, if we... more
