My wife and I stayed 3 nights here in June for our first anniversary. The B&B is in such a great location next to a small canal, The neighbourhood is very peaceful and quiet yet you are only 5 mins walk from Rialto market and bridge. You can walk everywhere in Venice from this location but if you want to... More

My wife and I had heard that the tourist crowds in Venice can be a bit overwhelming. Even in early April this proved to be quite accurate. So imagine our delight to find a B&B on a perfectly quiet canal only a short walk from everything. Our room was tastefully decorated in the classic Venetian style and evidenced an eye... More

We loved insight into what life would be like in a 17th Century Palace in Venice. Our stay was top notch, we were on our honeymoon and could not have a picked a more suitable hotel for us than this little B & B. We had the balcony room and highly recommend that one. We loved our romantic little breakfast... More

We stayed for 5 nights in May. Great location and everything within walking distance. Sabina recommended excellent local restaurants and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served in the room which consisted of bread rolls, cold meats, cheese, yoghurt and fresh fruit and selection of jams with fruit juice and your choice of coffees/tea. Location was quiet so that combined... More

Loved the b&b! The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. At check-in we were told some wonderful restaurants to eat at and directions to everything. It was a quick walk to almost everywhere and the water taxi was easy to get to. You can purchase a 24 hr water taxi ticket and... More

Was lucky enough to be whisked off to Venice for a surprise birthday trip by my husband last weekend. Arrived and spent a really informative 10 minutes with Sabina at the front desk who gave us tons of useful advise and 3 excellent restaurant recommendations (the best food we ate whilst there). Shown to our beautifully decorated room only to... More

My husband surprised me with a 4 night stay in Venice for our first anniversary and Ca' Bonvicini was absolutely perfect - I would recommend it to anybody and if we are ever lucky enough to stay in Venice again I would not think twice about booking here again! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you so much to the... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights May 17-19, 2015. The location, rooms, and service were excellent;. The location is in a quiet neighborhood that is just 5 minutes walk from the Rialto bridge, and about 3 minutes to the San Stae stop on the canal. It is also just a 12-15 minute walk to the train station.... More

We stayed at Ca' Bonvicini for 5 nights recently while on holiday in Venice. The team running the B&B are very helpful and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The location is great as a base to explore the City and was nice and quiet at night. Facilities in the rooms are excellent - there nothing we... More

We stayed here last September as part of our honeymoon trip. The room had a beautiful venetian feel. The little balcony was just beautiful and the view from it was spectacular! We had breakfast with the curtains wide open in front of the balcony. The bathroom is tiny as is expected and the bed was a touch uncomfy. But the... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
