I will definitely choose Ca' Bonvicini again when staying in Venice. The location was ideal; on a quiet street/strip of canal but still only a short walk to the San Stae vaporetto stop. The B&B smartly incorporated a traditional venetian look but with great modern updates. Best of all was the service; Sabina was a charming and attentive hostess, eager... More

It was everything I wanted from a B&B in Venice. Tucked away from the hustle bustle on a quiet road but a stones throw from it, Ca'Bonvicini offers 6 lovely l, spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms in Italian decor with extremely helpful and friendly staff to match. Sabrina was amazing! I cancelled my stay the week of my trip (long... More

We got lost wandering around looking for a hostel but ended up deciding to take a room in this palazzo. This boutique style B&B is beautifully renewed and redecorated. You can tell the owner has an attention for detail and good taste: the decoration works really well (I'm all about mid XX modernism but what they have done with the... More

Though this was a last minute reservation, we ended up with an amazing experience. Located right in the middle of the city, it was the perfect location to start the vacation every morning. Our room was clean and comfortable. The balcony took us straight out to one of the minor canals and was just amazing to just stand and soak... More

Top location for a piece of heaven in the heart of Venice. For our romantic getaway my hubby booked this lovely place, thanks Alberto for being so nice and helpful with us. Our room was a luxury suite in an 17th century palace, isnt this amazing? Bath is new and midern, so great. Thank you for such a great experience.

We cannot fault this family-run B+B. The front of house staff are very welcoming, professional and extremely helpful. Our room overlooked a fairly busy street ,but the foot traffic was not that disturbing at night. After all who sleeps early when in a romantic city like Venice! The furnishings are classic romantic with modern bath/shower facilities. A bar fridge with a... More

A B&B with a personalized 5 star hotel service. Everything is already said in all the comments. The owner is professional, young and social. The rooms super clean and get cleaned every day, with new towels and all 5 star service! Was a great long weekend for me and my boyfriend (and they were totally fine with a gay couple!).... More

Excellent stay and value I must say! We stayed for 4 nights from Friday 10th October at Ca' Bonvicini, as a couple, and would recommend for those wanting a quiet area of Venice to sleep, but also just minutes from a range of restaurants and the Rialto bridge - a great balance. Only 2 bridges to carry luggage over from... More

Very nice b&b in a relatively quiet neighborhood. We had a room on the canal, with double doors and a small balcony. There was some canal traffic but it generally ended by 10:00 in the evening. Don't be put off by the location, as it is only a five minute walk from the water bus stop and it gives you... More

My husband and I stayed at this charming establishment for 3 nights from 9th August 2014.They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We were given a map which not only had directions but restaurant recommendations. This was invaluable, and the restaurants were also lovely. The room itself was just what I would have dreamed off and... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
