Venice is beautiful in winter, and this delightful B and B matches the atmosphere. We had a warm, good sized room with a tiny balcony overlooking a charming canal. The room was decorated traditionally and attractively, while the bathroom was also good sized but very modern. Because it is a little off the main tourist drag, it is quiet; making... More

Photographs exactly as room on arrival. We had room 702 which was spotlessly clean, great shower, beautiful decor, toiletries in bathroom and hairdryer. Lovely continental breakfast delivered to room at your specified time. Sabina very helpful on recommendations and very friendly. Good location as not too near centre but walkable distance to all amenities. Would definitely revisit.

We wanted a quiet, romantic room overlooking a canal. That's exactly what we found at Ca' Bonvicini. It was in a "real" neighborhood, away from the touristy Grand Canal, but within easy walking distance to the train station, San Stae vaporetto stop, the fish markets and Rialto Bridge. Rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The traditional simple breakfast was... More

This B&B was darling and the people were very nice. It is outside the tourist area and can be a bit of a hike (it took us 30 minutes to get there the first time, with 3 suitcases and we got lost twice) but worth it. We ended up shortening our stay in Venice and they were nice enough to... More

Where to start? Just back from our 2 nights family break from Venice and fallen in love with this unique city. Bit cold for this time of year but was well worth it. I was in two minds booking this one or another less expensive hotel with also good reviews but I'm glad I have stayed at Ca' Bonvicini. Tucked... More

Our recent stay at Ca' Bonvicini was truly delightful. The rooms were cosy and warm, which provided much needed relief from the cold outside. Our family of four occupied two rooms which overlooked the canal, one room had a small balcony, which was nice to look out from. Both rooms were decorated in Venetian style and were lovely. They were also spacious and... More

This is a great little B&B near the centre of Venice. We paid extra for a canal side room and it was totally worth it for our the wow factor on our first trip to the city. The room is spacious with a comfy double bed, classic furnishings, good bathroom (with shower) and electronic blinds to keep it cosy. Breakfast... More

I had high hopes for this B&B since it is so highly rated in the rankings. I wanted a canal view, and they have one. But, the room was too small--felt like more a closet. Other issues: The breakfast was prepackaged food. The bed was not very comfortable. The onsite staff are only present for a few hours each day.... More

We started our Nov 2015 honeymoon in Venice and couldn't have started off better. Sabina at Ca'Bonvicini was extremely welcoming and helpful. They provided us with detailed instructions on how to locate them and navigate throughout Venice. The B&B was very clean and decorated very Venetian. It was just what we wanted. We enjoyed our daily breakfast in the room... More

Amazing place! Highly recommended. The house is beautiful and all the windows open to reveal a gorgeous view of the canals. Quite safe area away from busy tourists streets. Breakfast was delicious choice of coffee m, croissants and toast with jams and Jellies! Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
