This was at least our fifth visit to this hotel, and we have never been disappointed by it. It is set in a quiet location but access is easy and there are some very good places to eat within a few minutes walk ( the hotel has no restaurant but does serve snacks in the bar). From the airport the... More

During the six years that my wife Judy and i worked on our bestselling book, Serenissima: Venice in Winter, we would pass ai Mori d'Oriente and figure this place was just out of our price range. Then we began leading photography tours covering Venice in winter and realized what bargains can be had in the Floating City after Xmas, but... More

We stayed here a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I asked for a certain room over email and got exactly the one I wanted, complete with bremed ceiling and four poster bed. A large continental breakfast selection and an airy breakfast room, a happy porter and a bar completed our 2 night stay. The hotel isn't on a... More

My wife and I stayed here in April of 2010 and we loved our visit. They are a smart, clean, authentic hotel with great history. We paid somewhere in the range of 150 euros at the time and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very small, but the décor is authentic and comfortable. Why would you stay very long in... More

For anyone preferring a little peace and quiet out of the main tourist areas, the Hotel ai Mori d’Oriente is an absolute winner with very few drawbacks. With its attractive ‘post-Moorish’ architectural features and own little quayside the hotel looks fairly small and unprepossessing from the outside. But inside it’s all polished wood, marble-floored elegance and deceptive space. Being only... More

We fell in love with Venice. The hotel was how we imagined and we were very pleased. The staff were all friendly and made an effort to please. Breakfast was continental and the same everyday, but nice! The rooms were nice and spacious, with high ceilings. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back.

We had a beautiful room, bathtub, free wifi free very nice breakfast. The neighborhood is Fantastic with lots to explore, 25 min walk to San... More

The thing with Venice is, it is extremely confusing. One of the contributing factors to its confusion is the fact that there are many bridges and canals eveywhere. Obviously, going into Venice you know this, however this hotel is pretty far from any and all methods of transportation around Venice. To even get to the train station you need to... More

We stayed three nights here in October having arrived by train. We were able to walk from the station (about 15minutes) and were delighted with it`s situation away from all the crowds and hustle and yet easily within walking distance to the places of interest and canal buses. Reception was excellent; friendly and efficient. The room we were shown to... More
