Hotel has no air conditioning. The fan they give you for ventilation is inadequate. We had a reservation for three people and the roll-away bed for the third person was not made-up. Found this gem in Rick Steves' Italy tourbook. It has a dormitory-like feel in that it is simply furnished with linoleum floors, but the place is very clean, the rooms are actually pretty sizable, and the front desk staff is extremely helpful (and speak excellent English). I stayed here with my family. It was clean and in a great location. The only negative is that you have to drag your luggage over Academia Bridge. The Vaporetto stop is on the other side of the canal. more
