This was a last minute call to get a room, as our trip to Venice was unplanned. So part of me was happy to have anything. We only stayed one night, arriving very late and leaving early in the morning. It is near the Accademia Bridge but most ppl like to hang out near the Rialto. The hotel is very... more

My family (middle aged professional couple and 2 boys aged 11 and 8) spent three nights in Venice at this hotel 24 25 26 July 2008. We had read about the place in Rick Steeves as a budget but clean place to spend time in Venice. As we were on an extended tour of Italy (six weeks) we had been... more

I booked our two night stay at this hotel based on previous reviews, the price, and the location. Based on the expensiveness of Venice, I thought that the Foresteria Levi was a decent deal in a centrally located place, right by the Accademia stop on the water bus. (Which by the way, we were unable to find when we got... more

A very good bargain given the price of a double room, cleanliness and location in the heart of venice. 10 min walk to Rialto or to San Marco square. Very easy to reach. Get off Accademia stop (water bus=vaporetto) and cross over the canal bridge to the left side. Immediately after the bridge, turn to the second street entrance (before... more

We had the 3-bedroom suite. Bedrooms were fairly big with high ceilings. Most beds are firm, but I got one that was fairly soft and comfy. No a/c, but the stone buildings seem to keep fairly cool. Keep windows closed in evening to keep mosquitos out. Just one bathroom, but at least the toilet and shower is separate from the... more

I had to cancel a 5-day stay due to a medical emergency in May this year. Called them 3 full days ahead to cancel but they charged my credit card for the whole 5-day stay, regardless. And that, at the height of the tourist season when they should have had no problems reselling the room... They send you their extreme... more

Hotel has no air conditioning. The fan they give you for ventilation is inadequate. We had a reservation for three people and the roll-away bed for the third person was not made-up. We had to ask for sheets. One of the beds was made with a bed spread that had a 50 cm tear right over the pillow. All this... more

Found this gem in Rick Steves' Italy tourbook. It has a dormitory-like feel in that it is simply furnished with linoleum floors, but the place is very clean, the rooms are actually pretty sizable, and the front desk staff is extremely helpful (and speak excellent English). Room included a desk/chair, large armoire, phone (that didn't work for international calls, but... more

I stayed here with my family. It was clean and in a great location. The only negative is that you have to drag your luggage over Academia Bridge. The Vaporetto stop is on the other side of the canal. more

I want to preface my review by listing my priorities in booking a room for Venice: 1. Location 2. Value 3. Cleanliness This place met all of the above and our stay there was pleasant enough. However, I would not recommend it to everyone. Positives: - Location. Across the bridge from the Accademia and near the San Marco. - Spacious.... more
