We stayed at this B&B the last time we were in Venice and enjoyed it (and the neighborhood) so much that we wanted to stay here again when we visited in August. They have done a major renovation since we were there before, and we upgraded to get a room with a canal view (which I recommend.) I have nothing... More

Found hotel through Rick Steves' tour book. Very quaint and nicely done small hotel with 6 rooms. Recently remodeled, with air conditioning and wifi. No TV, but who cares, you should be out exploring Venice! We had a room with two separate single beds per our request, so they have a variety of bed arrangements. Located away from the tourist... This hotel is really something, it is so quiet but yet so close to all the action. It is located in the Dorsoduro right across from the San Marco square. The area itself is full of art, and it feels quite local. We loved the hotel. Allessandra helped us with some bookings, so nice, over and above...This place is fantastic.

A very quaint & quiet venue away from the crowds. It was a fast bus ride from Marco Polo Airport. Then a meandering wander thru the streets of Venice. ADVICE: pack lightly. We appreciated our hostess Alessandra's advice to help get us acquainted w Venice.

We started our Italian vacation in Venice. There were 4 of us. Me, my mother, my daughter and her girlfriend. It was the girls first time to Italy/Europe. We stayed at Ca' San Trovaso. We had a wonderful experience in Venice and a big part of that was the staff at Ca' San Trovaso. When we checked in the welcomed... More

This is my 3nd time back to this Locanda and I was so surprised and stunned as it has been totally renovated since I was there 2 yrs back. Let me start from saying that the young girls that run it are very sweet, professional and helpful. The rooms have been redecorated in Venetian style using different colored fabric for... More

We were recommended Ca San Travaso by a friend and were not disappointed. The location is fantastic, as it is in the Dorsoduro neighborhood and out of the noisy areas of Venice. But, it is so close to everything and nothing is very far in Venice anyway. It is also very close to three vaporetto and aliliaguna stops. It is... More

My stay at this run family hotel was very unique. Unique in a sense that It was an experience none like other experiences. I spent three days at Ca San Trovaso in Venice. I felt the warmth, the hospitality and the kindness of this family run business. The location is of an average size, but is situated in one of... More

After staying in an upscale, modern convenience hotel near San Marco in 2012, my wife and I wanted to get off the beaten-path and save money returning to Venice this year. We loved this nice little out-of-the-way hotel near the Zattere vaporetto stop in Dorsaduro. It was a Rick Steves' recommendation for which we paid 115 Euros per night. We... More

We picked this place due to it being one of the cheapest on a compare site for September, paying around £100 a night. We were not disappointed at all, our room was on the small side, but clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was just the same. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is brought up... More
