Very close to the train station which affords an easy arrival and departure from Venice as you will be walking or boating into the heart of the floating city. Very clean and quiet, and friendly helpful staff. I will stay here again.

We have been to Venice before therefore somewhat familiar with the area, we were traveling through Venice on the way to Viareggio, so we needed a close, clean, quiet place for 1 night. It was perfect for all of our needs and price. This hotel is still a family run business with the owners on premise, absolutely delightful friendly family.

The hotel is situated about eight minutes walk from the train station. The service was very good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were a bit on the old side and the TV was quite small which was a bit disappointing but it didn't affect us too much since we were mostly not in the hotel.... More

The hotel is near the train station. And that's a huge plus of you've got luggage because Venice is not easy to navigate with such through their narrow, busy streets and bridges. The hotel staff are very warm, helpful and genuine. We got the room at the end of the corridor on floor 3 which was spacious. The TV is... More

Welcoming place with friendly and helpful hosts. All basic amenities are taken care of and breakfast is decent. wifi speed was also good! Location is good for people arriving by train. When the airport shuttle drops you at the bus stop, its not too far from there as well. Lots of stores and food options around and water taxis are... More

We enjoyed our stay here so much, starting from the friendly email exchanged with Alberto, the host of this hotel, the lady at the front who welcomed us in the afternoon and the staff in the morning who helped with the coffee machine and everything at the dining room. The room was not fancy or brand new but clean, no... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel last week. It's a family run business and you can tell. There's personal touches everywhere and you're made to feel welcome from the minute you walk through the doors. My room had everything I needed and was immaculately clean. (The entire hotel is, to be fair). I felt really safe here. There's... More

We paid just 51 euros including taxes for a double room. It was very clean and the bathroom was like brand new. The room was small but we were only there for one night. Breakfast was included and was typical continental style. Our room was on the second floor and there is no lift but the manager took our bags... More

Room was a bit small and not very nice decorated, but it was very clean. The staff was really friendly. Breakfeast was a bit poor, but the coffee was very good. For the price it is a good hotel, nice, clean, friendly and good lotation.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
