Stayed for one night in this lovely hotel last week. The traveler photos do this place no justice! I had low expectations for this place after seeing the photos but I was happily surprised. The room was gorgeous and very big with a lovely bathroom. The bed was huge and very comfortable aswell. I would not say it was loud... More

Just returned from a stay at the Ca Dogressa in Venice and what an enjoyable stay it was, very pleasant rooms, extremely friendly and welcoming staff, and a very decent breakfast (You have to try the Nutella Croissants). The hotel is located away from the bustle in what seems to be a fairly residential area, believe me this is a... More

Stayed here over a weekend in a junior canal view suite. The room: Large room with 3 windows overlooking the canal. Comfy bed but is actually 2 small singles. Nice seating area where we are our breakfasts in the morning. Bathroom is nice but no stand up shower, only an attachment for the bath and no screen so you can't... More

This hotel far from the bustle and close enough to walk from the train station. The room we had was beautifully decorated. Very Venetian which we liked a lot. The staff was nice. Our biggest complaint, and I'm sure not all rooms are like this, but at night it was really loud! We weren't sure if there was a restaurant... More

We stayed at Ca' Dogaressa and let me start by saying the employees were amazing and so friendly and helpful. It was the shared bathroom/apartment that was the problem. The doors to your bedroom and to the bathroom were so LOUD so you were constantly disrupting the other room OR they were disrupting you. You could never relax b/c the... More

Earlier this year (2014), we went to Venice. We found that the hotels around San Marco and surrounds get booked up very early, but also that they are very expensive. We then looked a little outside of the main tourist area at the Cannaregio district. We found a wonderfull gem right on the canal and even managed to get the... More

We stayed three nights in mid September at Ca Dogaressa mainly because of it's proximity to the Garage San Marco where we left our car. It's about a 15 to 20 minute walk depending on the amount of luggage you decide to burden yourself with, so close enough not to have to bother with vaporettoes. Our room was on the... More

Small nice hotel in Cannaregio, 15 minutes walk from the train station. The neighborhood is quite and nice but 20 minute walk from the center (1 minute walk from the main street). The stuff was very nice and the breakfast is served next to a beautiful tunnel.

Venice is so packed full of tourists that it is nice to stay away from it all yet be within easy reach of St. Mark’s. The vaporetto stop Guglie is minutes from the hotel and the Alilaguna airport boat stops there so you won’t have to haul suitcases over bridges to get to the hotel. Personally, I love coming back...
