Near to the station, 3 minutes approximately, It's located in the middle of an passageway near the main street. But is OK. The rooms are amazing, those colors, the beauty, it´s like living in the 15 century. Really nice

The staff was very friendly and helpful with information about getting a cheap transfer to the cruise ship terminal. This was within walking distance to piazza Roma then the people mover that transferred us to the cruise terminal. The ground floor room we had was spacious and comfortable. The hotel was in a side ally off the main walking street... More

Had a lovely stay in Venice. The accommodation was very good value for money, as Venice is an expensive place to stay. The breakfast was a bit plain and rooms small. Reception staff were helpful. Being in Venice just makes up for it as it is such an amazing place. I tried to convert my photos to water color looking paintings.... More

Dear Gary,Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is much appreciated. As for the breakfast, we are sorry you didn't liked it very much. Anyway, we are going to open a new larger space later this summer to accommodate more guests. There will be a bigger buffet with much more variety. We will definitely go and... More

We had a very good experience at this hotel, staff was very helpful and friendly, clean rooms and a good breakfast. Great location, very close to the train station and near lots of good restaurants. Would stay here again and recommend to others!

Wonderful, small hotel very close to main rail station. Short walk within five minutes to the rail station. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. The entire city is easily accessible on foot or via the vaporetto. Get off the beaten path and enjoy the neighborhoods. Gondola rides are prohibitively expensive....80.00 euros per person. Did not see too many people... More

This 3 star hotel is located perfectly close to the train station, a alilaguna (orange) ferry stops 5 minutes walk away and it is also close to many restaurants and the Grand Canal. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a little limited, and did not cater for my dietary requirements, however it was good enough for... More

Just like everybody has said, you can't beat this hotel for its location. Just minutes away from the main train station, coach station, Grand canal and lots and lots of choices to eat and drink. However, I'd never stop here again for the following reasons. Like one previous reviewer said, I had the room with no en-suite where you had... More

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was great- it's near the train station and water bus station, but you can also walk to the main sights of the city. The hotel itself is located within an alleyway, which seems a little daunting at first, but you soon realise that such alleyways are just part of the... More

Don't get me wrong, some of the previous reviews are spot on. If you're looking for a 4* resort hotel, then look elsewhere. This is a bed and breakfast hotel and a very good one, for its location, close to the train station (you can't hear anything) and a short walk to the coach station, over the 'glass' bridge. My... Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
