I chose La locanda Novo because it appeared to have a Venetian flavour...I didn't want a sterile international chain hotel. The access was down one of Venice's hidden Calle...dirty, dark and narrow but reminiscent! The building seems to be an old house converted into a hotel. Our room was extremely big, not something you usually get. It is very old style, marble floor, antique furniture, very Venice like.
