Extremely friendly staff willing to help in every way. we stayed in an apartment near the hotel reception area and was a lovely, clean apartment. Perfect stay away from the business of central Venice. 5min walk to water bus station and also other resturants/bars nearby. Nice squares and open area along the way to the walk to waterbus station. Thank... More

We spent three nights in Hotel Tiziano in hot July. Our room was spacious and beautiful with a view to a canal. Closest water bus stops S. Marta and San Basilio were only 2 minutes walk away and we visited Lido island (which has an awesome beach) from them. Tiziano's staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast a bit light for... More

Stayed at the Hotel Tiziano for 2 nights in early July 2015. First rule for finding this hotel DO NOT LISTEN TO THE TAXI DRIVERS. They have no idea where the hotel is, and sent us off on a wild goose chase. We since discovered that its easy to get to if you follow a map / ask for directions... More

We couldn't find the place using google maps or the map from trip advisor. Only after walking in a circle twice did I think to check the hotels website and I found it in 2 mins. We walked to the hotel from the bus station and it took about 10-15 mins including the time we were lost. The water bus... More

The front desk staff- Claudia, Steven & Stefano provided 7* service! Our room was very quiet & a reasonable size & the breakfast was decent. My wife was not well & the staff were very helpful and arranged for porters to carry our luggage. The hotel is in a quiet residential area with easy access (walking distance) to both the... More

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel a week apart on either end of a cruise. The first apartment we had was across a canal in a building they own and was a very modern apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths along with a kitchen and sitting room. The second stay we had the smaller apartment just a few... More

An excellent hotel. Clean and quiet with very helpful staff. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the gentle stroll between Hotel and city attractions. Would recommend this Hotel very highly to other visitors to Venice.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tiziano for a week and what a great hotel to have as a base for 7 nights. Whilst we got lost finding it (our own fault) so we were so happy to be greeted with a lovely warm welcome by the guy on reception, who then even showed us to our room. The room... More

Myself and my husband travelled to Venice on 19th June 2015 for my 40th birthday. We booked this hotel through On The Beach. We arrived at the Hotel Tiziano earlier than expected and was pleased that our room was ready. Our room was very spacious, the king size bed was so comfy with lovely crisp bed linen. The decor and... The lady who checked us in was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was available ahead of schedule and she said come down when you are ready. She then went through all the things we could see in the time we had there. Breakfast was lovely, and 11.00am departure was more than enough time to see our last sights. Her... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
