Hotel Tiziano is a gem in Venice. Located in the Dorsoduro area - we found it a very quaint place to stay in a quiet neighborhood away from all noise and among the locals. We loved the marble floors, bathrooms, and elegant decor. Breakfast was fine and the neighborhood in general was awesome, near the San Basilio Vaparetto stop. You... more

The Hotel Tiziano is a wonderful, genuine small hotel in the far southwest corner of the Dorsoduro sestiere. This was our 3rd time in Venice, and our first time staying in Dorsoduro. We stayed for 8 days and have nothing but good things to say about the hotel and the area. My wife and I had a double room on... more

We loved this place....we went eight nights there recently and as people that live in rural America, the idea that something 15-20 minutes away via walking was "too far away" as some have mentioned was laughable. I do think this applies if you are 1-not good with a map (Venice IS a labyrinth, delightfully so) 2-have a hard time walking... more

Stayed in a standard double on the first floor. The room was clean and bed comfortable although quite firm. Breakfast was buffet style with tasty cinnamon topped sponge cake & as much coffee /tea as you like. The Staff are friendly and helpful. A free wifi login is available from reception. The Hotel is located in a residential area, very... more

We recently returned from a fantastic trip to Venice. (I mean, it's an amazing place, so if you don't have a fantastic trip to Venice then you probably do not enjoy traveling). I wasn't planning to write a review of the Tiziano, but I've noticed that many people have commented on how out-of-the way the neighborhood is, how far it... more

We stayed in Hotel Tiziano in September 2008 for a few nights and were pleasantly suprised: Positive: - Nice big clean room which was tastefully decorated considering that its a 14th century hotel - LCD TV with Italian and German Channels - Tasty breakfast with freshly made coffee of choice and fresh home made cakes/tarts every morning. Its seldom to... more

This was our third visit to Venice. First time, a pricey hotel near St. Marks. Second time, an apartment in the Dorsoduro. Third time, used this site to search and decided on the Tiziano, which turned out to be perfect for us. We chose to disregard the complaints in some reviews that the hotel is "too far from Saint Marks"... more

This charming small hotel still manages to give one a sense of Venice before it was overrun by tourists. The neighborhood is still largely populated by Venetians, there are excellent restaurants nearby and the hotel itself has beautiful rooms ("Canaletto" is our first choice) and provides a first class breakfast with many homemade ingredients. The owners are extremely welcoming, nothing... more

Beautifully quiet and relaxing location, easy to find with explicit directions emailed from the hotel. It's an easy and interesting walk down a long straight street filled with shops and cafes to the grand canal, where it's then just a couple of stops on the vaperetto to St Marcs. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. As mentioned previously,... more

My wife and I stayed at the Tiziano in mid October. The location is perfect. It is a short easy walk from the bus station even if you have baggage and while it is in a quiet residential neighborhood it is not far to the main attactions. Peggy Guggenhiem is very close and even St Marks isn't too far unless... more
