Our stay at the Guest House Al Portico was everything you could want in a bed and breakfast experience. The hostess, Stacy, is amazing - very kind, welcoming and full of information about Venice. She had a wealth of ideas for things to do off the beaten path. The guest house itself was charming, with a rooftop patio and a... more

What a great time we had at the Guest House, Stacy made us feel very welcomed. She provided invaluable information to us and can highly recommend the La Colombina Restaurant which is owned by Stacy and her husband who is the Chef. more

I think Al Portico is the perfect place to stay in Venice. I have stayed there four times and each time I go, Stacy suggests things to do and places to go that I would never have thought of. Al Portico is not a hotel, so don’t expect to be waited on, but it is clean and comfortable and provides... more

I stayed here for a week during the venice biennale and film festival. The owner, Stacy is a an artist and it is a treat to see her art in the room and around the building. I really liked my room - it has all of the Venetian charm of the marble floors, high ceilings - plus its own ensuite... more

My daughter and I had a very nice time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming little B&B. Stacy's husband is an excellent chef. The restaurant was a little pricey but so are most good restaurants in Venice, especially during high season. Stacy was extremely helpful in getting us information about things to do in Venice and great tips... more

Positive points : situation of the guest house quite close to the train station honesty bar (cheap bottles of water or bottles of wine you can buy). Nice small terrace and courtyard. Negative points : No shower curtain, tiny shower towels. No hot water the first evening and next morning. It was written « breakfast buffet » but in fact,... more

We had prearranged a private water taxi through stacy. He was at the airport to pick us up upon our arrival. What an amazing trip to the guest house. He dropped us off in a small canal and we were 15 steps from the door. Stacy was there to meet us, with her smiling face. I had sent her questions... more

This was not what I would of called a B&B feel. Owner Stacey was not really interested in her clientele and really left you to your own devices. Room was very basic, no TV and heat is not turned on until start of Nov. No hot water the first night and some rooms do not have full baths anyway. Cat... more
