Very nice hotel, especially their art decorations around the hotel and in the room. Room is very nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel was a bit hard to find but it doesn't matter at all. It's location is actually very convenient and close to everything we needed. Stuff is very friendly and helpful and they even prepared us takeaway breakfast... More

Home from a lovely stay in Venice, based around the hotel Ca' Pozzo. Friendly little hotel in the Ghetto area. Superbly clean and warm welcome from Samantha. Good room with a living area and large bathroom. The hotel is at the end of a lane overlooking a little courtyard. Our room directly opened on to this. It is used during... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Ca' Pozzo Inn for many reasons. The location is great -- close to train station, Piazzale Roma, water buses and water taxis. Nice restaurants, bakeries, gelaterias, banks/ATMs, shops with everything you need all close by, too. Rooms are quiet with comfortable beds, well-appointed bathrooms, fridge and safe. Pleasant courtyard and breakfast. Nice artwork throughout.... More

My favourite place to stay when in Venice. Conveniently located close to the train station and just a few minutes from the next vaporetto stop to head downtown. Canareggio itself is an interesting neighbourhood worth exploring, with lots of hidden gems. Cosy atmosphere, unusual layout and reasonable prices. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and accomodating.

Room was spacious and clean. Despite a 25 mins walk from st. Mark's square, it is at the centre where the locals are. Suprised to see a morning market with fresh produce just outside the hotel. Restaurants in its neighborhood are also more value for money as compared to the tourist traps in san marco area. Special thanks to Nicola... More

A really good find for a short break in Venice. Rooms well appointed and clean, staff very helpful. Location very convenient, a 10 minute walk from the bus station. Lots of bars & restaurants near by. Would highly recommend!

I pick this hotel due to the location of the hotel. its only 5-10 mins to the train station. Also its modern clean interior & bathrooms is a huge plus. Its also located not too far from the main streets but the hotel is pretty quiet area.

It's not easy to find decent hotels at a fair price in a city that is eternally overcrowded with tourists. Ca Pozzo meets the challenge. Tucked away at the end of a somewhat gloomy sotoportego in the Canaregio district it comes as a surpise with modern amenities and comfy rooms with good beds and rain showers. Staff friendly, competent and... More

People are all nice and helpful. I even asked for gluten free breakfast and they were able to provide it! Even the housekeeping ladies are smiling and kind. Rooms are good: warm and comfortable. Location is great. It's quiet at night yet very close to all you need. Close to the station but you can go anywhere in Venice by... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
