We stayed here in September 2014 for a 3 night stay in Venice. The hotel was a little tricky to find, but that's part of the experience of Venice. Venice was just so overwhelming initially, and you're there trying to find your hotel with your luggages in hand. The hotel was tucked into this alley away from the hustle and... More

The location is good but a bit difficult to find the entrance of the hotel. Room is spacious and cozy. Wifi is good. Breakfast is nice with choices. Staff is helpful. No kettle in the room. Need to get hot water from dining area when needed. A bit expensive

Very easy to reach from Piazza Roma and easy to get to any other place in the city. Breakfast is very good but could have scrambled eggs. Reception was very good and the room wad clean and had plenty of space for 2 adults. Bathroom was also spacious.

The Inn was nice, tucked away in a little alley in Venice. The walk from the Station was kind of long...especially with luggage and going up and down bridges over the canals. Bus Station is a little further than the train station and took us almost 20 minutes to walk it with our luggage. I wish they had taxis! The... More

Our room was great: modern, clean, well equipped, large. The location is very good. We were close to vaporetto stops for the grand canal and to Murano. An excellent restaurant (Postini), a bakery, and cheese shop within shouting distance. Very close to the central walkway in Cannaregio and yet extremely quiet at night. The breakfast was well priced and complete.... More

Fantastic hotel in the Ghetto, so a quiet neighborhood. The vapporetto stations 1 and 2: 5 minute walk. 5.1 and 4.1 and alilaguna: 2 minutes walk. Many nice eateries nearby. We had a special room for disabled: very good and accesible, see the pictures. And last but not least, the room had its own private terrace! The breakfast was very... More

We stayed here, needing to find alternative accommodation for two nights after our return flight was cancelled due to weather conditions. Very glad we did: clean rooms, excellent location, generally peaceful and quiet (apart from one evening when music from some nearby party went on into the night), practical common areas and free wifi – both useful when I needed... Upon check-in, we were informed there was an issue with our original room, so we were given an upgrade. The room we were given was very nice; outfitted with modern furniture, clean, and without any issues. Likewise, the hotel was very modern and a pleasing space to be in. The staff was super friendly and provided good advice and help... More

We had a great two night stay on our honeymoon at this property. The staff was very helpful, held our bags until we could check in, provided us recommendations, and the room was clean/modern. I accidentally left a bag of gifts on the dock where the water taxi was nearest to our hotel as we left for the airport. I... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
