My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Ca' Pozzo Inn. Great location. Our room was comfortable with a large safe to place valuables, a bath to soak in at the end of a long day exploring and best of all an air conditioner and a room that was cool on our return after the record breaking heat. Breakfast was... More

Ca' Pozzo Inn was a great hotel to stay in. We stayed here for three nights, but wished we had stayed longer. Unfortunately, we already had a hotel booked in Rome or we would have. It was in a great location and the room was very nice. We were able to walk to the hotel from where the boat dropped... More

This is a very well located hotel - 15 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from Vaporetto stop, just around the corner from the main route down to San Marco and the rest of the madness, and next to the Ghetto. Yet, at the end of a small alley, decorated with modern art and simple elegant furnishings, it is... More

The hotel beautiful, the breakfast is delicious and the location is perfec (isolated enough from the big crowds of tourists but short walking distance from the attractions). On top of that, the staff is very nice and helpful.

Nice and helpful staff, nice clean rooms with air conditioning. Free wi-fi. For breakfast, pastries, cheese and ham, jam, fresh fruit, juices, hot drinks of your choice. The hotel is situated in a quiet location further from city center, ideal for hikers :)

The is a good 3* hotel that is close to the water bus stop from the airport. This same water bus stop is good for the other islands. It is also close to the train station and it is in a quieter area of Venice. If arriving by plane, take the water bus and get off the first stop, then... More

Nice and clean room although it was hard to find the hotel entrance at the very beginning, you have to go through a smelly alley first. Reasonable price in the venice and less than 10 mins walking from station.

Stayed here recently with my wife. She did extensive research on hotels in Venice and as we were on a budget of around $200 USD per night (which is 'cheap' by Venice standards) we settled on this place based on the hotel website and many shockingly positive reviews on TA. Needless to say it was a bad idea... First of... More

Dear Guest! thank you so much for your comment on Tripadvisor even though with some negative points in it! I do apologize but I suppose you wrongly selected our inn or "motel”as you called it. We wouldn’t mind be called “motel” if we were located near a motorway but , as you properly underlined, Ca’ Pozzo can boast a strategic... More

Fantastic boutique hotel! We had one of the bigger room on level 2. Very clean, modern comfortable room, plenty of room for our massive suitcases, the last thing you want is to struggle getting things out from suitcases when you are on tight schedule. We were given a very warm welcome by Nico, welcome snacks and champagne. All staff were... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
