We stayed for just one night in the shared bathroom room. The location is very close to Rialto bridge and spacious Campo San Polo.On the 3rd floor of an old building with an elevator. Beautiful view from dining room, a canal view from our window. Davide was very kind and hospitable, always around when we needed something. We'll try to... More

We just returned today from beautiful Venice. We stayed 2 nights at David & Veronica and had a wonderful time. Its a private home, beautiful with old fixtures, the furniture takes you back in time, the location is amazing once you get to walk around for a bit. The house is located in a huge beautiful square, 10 -20 minutes... More

The room was clean and comfortable, we had a room with shared bathroom, but it was fine and it was clean. Breakfast was good, well prepared. The owner was very nice and this place is in a very good location, right at the square.

This B&B is in a great location in the heart of Venice - not far from the Rialto bridge and only a short walk to Pizza San Marco. The hosts were friendly and attentive and did everything they could to accomodate us. The room was always clean, with fresh sheets every day. Overall a perfect stay - couldn't have been... More

We had a hard time finding the place, not because it was hard to locate but rather we were looking for a “hotel entrance”. Hotel it was not. It was a guesthouse/bed and breakfast type of place. The entrance was a small door leading to a courtyard and Ca Doreen was located on the 3rd floor of an apartment building... More

I visited Venice before, so I knew the location of this B&B was the ideal starting point for every day of our visit. Located in a narrow street of the San Polo-square, you are near 2 Vaporetto-stops on 5min. walk and 5-10min. walk from the Rialto bridge. The owner of the hotel waited for us the first day at the... We stayed with another couple for one night in May 2014. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and the beautiful furniture in the apartments. Davide was extremely helpful and hospitable. Our main concern was a means of escape in the case of a fire. We didn't ask Davide and we may have been paranoid and there might be a... More

We stayed with our family in an apartment for 3 days in April. The apartment is all new and well equipped, comfortable and clean. The location is fantastic, just 10 minutes walk from S. Lucia train station and the Rialto Bridge. David , the host, is very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place. Venice is an amazing city.

We stayed there for a couple of days in the month of March. Good location, it is not very far from the S.Lucia station and the Rialto bride. Both David and his wife were very friendly hosts. They made every attempt to speak in English though it was not easy for them. The rooms were neat and clean. The breakfast... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
