My friends and I recently stayed at Casa Cosmo for 2 nights in June 2015. Don't be deceived by the small reception, the rooms are very generous! We had a triple room, which featured a double bed and then a sofa bed. Beds were comfy, plenty of room for 3 adults, clean and good facilities overall. Although they do not... More

Case Cosmo is located between St Marco's Square and the Rialto bridge, right where you want to be! It is a small guest house, hidden in a maze of narrow alleys with little shops and cafes, That was part of the charm of being in Venice. Our room was actually quite spacious and very clean. David, the owner, was very... More

They provide treats for the room but do not provide a breakfast but eating in Venice is part of the experience so finding the places that served a colazione. The room are clean the beds are nice the bathroom... More

Waht a lovely place in Venice, Just a couple of blocks to Rialto Bridge, We arrived in Venice with my family (wife and two teendage boys). David came and met us at the water taxi stop and walked us to the hotel. The place was fantatstic; I would say it is basic, but unles you're staying in Venice for a... More

We got lost the minute we got off at Riatlo. But once we eventually found it we realised it was in a very great central location. San Marco is minutes away. Room is very basic, Has a hose for a hairdryer and the safe was not big enough to store the ipad. It done the job for the two nights... More

The room was huge, the cleaning service outstanding, the friendship and warmth of the hostess is second to none. If we returned to Venice we will be staying here again for sure, no doubt about it. The best is the location, you only have to walk 5 minutes to San Marco square or to Rialto bridge and from there the... More

A clean, small, nicely run hotel, well situated between San Marco square and Rialto bridge. We stayed there for our trip to Venice in early October 2014. The wifi signal was a bit weak. There was construction work nearby, but this really did not disturb us. The place was clean and our room was an excellent size for us. We... More

This had a great location. Easy walk from the Rialto Bridge. You did not have to sacrifice a quiet nights sleep for the location though. You get a comfortable bed and clean room. My husband and I were there for sightseeing, so that is really all you need. They did leave a basket with instant coffee, tea, and croissants. We... More

Excellent location, 2 blocks from the San Marco square and 2 block to the Rialto bridge. Really small room and not too many features if we compare other hotels of the same price. The complete block of the hotel was under construction. They had free wifi internet but did not work very well.

Having just returned from a 4day break at casa cosmo for our 40th wedding anniversary , what can I say about this little guest house. It's a gem. Spacious room cleaned every day , we were left tea, coffee and cakes every morning, amazing shower , hot water and lovely clean white fluffy towels. The guest house is very easy... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
