Myself and my fiancé have just returned from Venice, the hotel was superb and very personable. I would highly recommend staying here. Great staff, great service and beautiful hotel. We really enjoyed our trip to Venice and would highly recommend going.

Our family started a two week Europe trip with 2 nights at CMA. We were lucky to stay in the Doge and Moor rooms. The hotel is across the Grand Canal from St. Mark's. Use the water bus #1 to cross or walk to San Marco bridge. Either way it is convenient. And to be away from the Venice scene... More

I've been to Venice many times so imagine my surprise to find this hidden gem just next to the Basillica Santa Maria. Everything here is effortlessly understated class from the arrival to the little touches dotted around. We were blessed with the best of weather which meant that we were able to use our outside sofas in our suite to... More

We LOVE the Ca' Maria Adele Hotel. My wife and I had just completed a 12-day Mediterranean cruise and decided to spend one additional day in Venice. We arrived at the hotel at about 10:30 am, planning to leave our luggage and return later to check in. The hotel apologized because it would be approximately 30 minutes before our room... More

We stayed for 3 nights in a most luxurious room. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The location was perfect. The No.1 bus (boat), 2 minutes walk, crosses the Grand canal to St Marks Square area. Breakfast was lovely and they have recommendations for some of the best places to eat in the city. Don't worry about pre-booking tables I... More

Ca' Maria Adele is located on the opposite side of the venice madness! It was nice to stay away from the crowd when we wanted to, while still being a short distance to the commotion as well. It is steps away from the water taxi where you can board and get off at the next stop right in front of... More

I LOVE the Ca' Maria Adele Hotel. A terrific location facing the Basilica Ca' Maria Adele (by the Salute vaporetto stop) enough out of the tourist path to be peaceful, yet close enough to access all of Venice quickly. Warm, wonderful service...stunningly beautiful & immensely comfortable room...excellent breakfast served either in your room or on a terrace...soulful, artistic design throughout!... More

A gem of a hotel just steps from a vaporetto stop and the stunning Salute (?) church which is just across the Grand Canal from the Piazza San Marco so you're very close to the city's touristy hub. It's also perfectly located for visiting many of Venice's wonderful museums and galleries, and the famous Academia bridge is a short stroll... More

For price, location, amenities, and service I cant believe there is a better hotel in Venice. We stayed 5 nights there recently and wish we could have stayed 5 more. First, I think its the best location in Venice. Dorsuduro is less touristy but close to major attractions and some great shopping and pubs. They have their own dock and... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
