Although we only stayed one night in Venice, Ca' Angeli was a great place for our family of 5. There was plenty of room for all of us and the rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The shower is a bit tricky to use because the ceiling is so low, but everything else was great. The breakfast was exceptional and... More

We have recently had our third visit to Ca Angeli. It is in a great location, convenient for arrival and departure by water taxi, and close to the Rialto. There is a convenience store a short walk away and many bars, shops and restaurants. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is very... More

Beautiful hotel fairly close to the Rialto bridge. We stayed in room 3, which was spacious and beautifully decorated with antiques in keeping with the Venitian style. Loved the breakfast in a gorgeous room overlooking the Grand Canal. Giorgio was extremely helpful, making us feel very welcome telling us all about Venice, where to eat etc. We decided to take... We had a very spacious triple room upstairs, with lots of shelf space to put our things. The room was comfortable and AC was thankfully OK as the weather was hot and humid. Breakfast was a pleasure in the lovely room overlooking Grand Canal. All the staff were extremely helpful and kind. Nice location a block or 2 from a... More

As the previius reviewers all described, Ca,Angeli is a gem of a small boutique hotel. The service is attentive, the decor elegant and beautiful. Our room was spotless and well appointed. The area is Off a busy street but quiet and scenic. Be very careful about the vapoetto closIngs. The san sikvestko stop, the closest one, is sometimes open, sometimes... More

This hotel was in a great location - walkable from Grand Canal. Easy to access Rialto bridge and other areas. Extremely convenient. Staff was very helpful. Variety on the breakfast table was limited though.

We had a great stay in Venice and Ca' Angeli was central to this great experience. A friendly welcome, beautiful rooms and a fantastic breakfast. We started our stay in room 21 for 2 nights and then moved to room 1. Both were well appointed, clean & tidy and room 1 had the advantage of overlooking the Grand Canal. The... More

We are a family of five (three teens) and the upstairs suite of rooms that could have slept two more was perfect. Location for us was ok but it is a walk to St. Marc square. We enjoyed the special touches at breakfast....making fresh oj, jams with breads, meats, cheeses. View of grand canal in the morning = amazing. It... More

We arrive from Venice SL Station by Private Water Taxi, which was the most delightful way to arrive in Venice and bought us straight to the pier by the entrance to CA Angeli Hotel. In the courtyard we were greeted by the resident gate keepers Mr & Mrs Pussy Cats, they do not go inside but greet everyone with a... More

Our stay at Ca'Angeli was great! We had room #21 which we found very comfortable, quiet and well equipped. The bathroom was very spacious and modern! The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location. It is near the busy Rialto bridge, but is nice and quiet. The breakfast was lovely, with a... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
