What a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous environment. I'm a big fan of the Aman resorts and this one is a great as the other hotels in this wonderful chain. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast absolutely superb. The staff is knowledgable and friendly.

Our second trip back to Venice we stayed here and fell in love with the whole city all over again. By far exceeded our expectations, you can't beat the views, the cleanliness or the service. Felt like royalty. I would highly urge anyone to take a trip to venice but splurge and treat yourself to an experience you won't soon... More

We stayed in Aman Grand Canal Venice for two nights in August. Exquisite, absolutely stunning with simply perfect service! We have been greeted by Aman representative at the Venice car park and transferred to the hotel by water taxi. Seamless... At the heart of grand canal, the most stunning architectural Palazzo with the largest garden in the whole of Venice... More

By far, exceeded my expectations. Very very expensive but worth every euro! The level of service was super. Everything you would expect from this caliber of a hotel. If you are looking for exclusivity and privacy this is a hotel for you. We loved every minute we were there. Just beautiful!

Excellent on all fronts if you're looking for an intimate, memorable experience away from the craziness of Piazza San Marco. We have stayed twice in two months and will return regularly! The staff is personable and professional and remembers you and what you like. They accommodate the guests and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. This... More

My wife and I visited on Saturday for lunch. The hotel is absolutely superb. We ate in the ballroom and had it all to ourselves. The views and decor is completely out of this world. The service was first class and there is something on the menu for everyone. It was also very reasonably priced. Highly recommended. Scott Married couple... More

We did four nights, in a suite room. Bathroom was huge, room overlooked the courtyard and canal, can only say good things about the hotel itself. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, there is no other hotel like it in Venice. Staff are awesome, discreet but helpful. The younger guys were really great, very friendly. There was a woman that was... Felt like royalty from the moment we arrived at the airport and were met by staff, escorted to our private polished wood boat which whisked us to the hotel or shall I say Private Palace. As we were approaching the hotel, could not from the water know it was a hotel - no blaring hotel name signs to be seen,... More

we love this hotel, we stayed number of times... i am only skeptical about the location, as I can't stand the crowd in the canal grande area... for me touristically Venice is unbearable during the high season... we usualy saty in Guidecca Belmond because of that.. being away from hussle and bussle... anyways rooms in teh this hotel, the little... Staying in Aman Grand Canal is like staying in a museum. The hotel is spectacular. Its beauty is unprecedented, and the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. This is the nicest staff we met in Venice through our numerous stays in different hotels. The dining room is also the most spectacular dining room we have ever been to. The rooms are... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
