This little hotel made a big impression on our Italian vacation. After finding the hotel and settling in (lots of stairs) you will literally have Venice at your doorstep. The hotel is wonderfully located, being steps to the Rialto bridge and minutes to St. Mark's square. We felt the streets were easily navigated, had lots of shopping and eating options,... More

You cannot dream of a better location (steps away from the Rialto bridge, very near to San Marco square, with direct access from the airport with the Alilaguna orange line). The Lanterna di Marco Polo is a hidden gem very warmly run by its two new owners Guido and Riccardo. They will go out of their way to help you... More

Little hotel located between Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marcos. Upon arrival was warmly welcome by the host. Hotel is small, but cute and very clean. Breakfast was ok. I definitely would stay here again.

we stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed the beautiful location and the owners were great hosts. it was as expected and as we read other comments. Its not a 5star hotel, but its a great location and a nice clean room with some character. the only real negative was that our room was up on the 4th floor and... More

In Venice, it is all about location. This small boutique hotel is located just 270 yards from St Mark’s Square and a 2-minute walk from the Rialto Bridge and the vaporettos on the Grand Canal. You want to stay here in central Venice so you can enjoy the city when the tourists from the big cruise ships leave late afternoon.... More

My wiffy & I chose this b&b for our easter break. We do not look for luxury during city breaks but location & the lanterna was perfect - very close to the rialto & vaporetto stop & 10 min walk to san marco. The hosts Guido & Riccardo are very helpful & go out of their way to accomodate you.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed most of our stay at the Lanterna di Marco Polo. We were fascinated to learn that the building was from 1492. The room was clean and with the shutters closed it was quiet even though we faced the street. The breakfast was adequate. Everything was fine until the morning we needed to catch an early flight. We... More

The hotel is not a full service traditional hotel, but rather a home away from home, very cosy and welcoming stay. It contributed a grand share of joy to our vacation in Venice and I am very happy i picked this particular. Riccardo and Guido were incredibly helpful hosts: they gave us advices about routes, things to do, places to... More

We toured Italy for 5 days and 3 different cities and our at Lanterna was the the best of the 3. Ricardo and Guido were very helpful and friendly. Since it was my wife's 30th birthday I had requested Ricardo to buy some chocolates for her and keep it in the room as a surprise, he very much obliged and... More

This friendly, clean and well run B&B Hotel more than matched our expectations. The saying goes that location is everything and in the case of Lanterna di Marco Polo this is certainly true. It is about two minutes walk from the Grand Canal, Rialto bridge and about five minutes from St Marks Square. With only a few rooms, each named... More
