Having read through some of the other reviews on here I have to say I found none of the negative issues to be true. This is a gorgeous little traditionally run family style boutique hotel/ B&B - (depending on what your understanding of a hotel or a B&B is). Perhaps we travelled at the right time as the hotel looks... More

This hotel is one of the nicest places I have stayed. The room was lovely, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We felt so lucky to be able to stay somewhere so close to the centre of the city, but far enough from the crazy crowds. We were made to feel very welcome and were given some great... More

I knew this hotel was small (4 rooms I believe) but I didn't expect that a few minutes after I checked in, around 5:30 p.m., the very lovely night staff of one left....until the next morning. This wouldn't have been a problem, but as I was unpacking, I plugged in 2 devices into my Italy rated electrical adaptor, the room... More

After staying out first night in a place similar to a youth hostel, we were in luxury here. Great sheets, big towels, plenty of electrical outlets, good wifi, and a nicely appointed room, with a chaise lounge to relax on (or cover with luggage).

The Ca' Del Nobile Hotel was chosen for its great location, being half way between Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, but in a quite calle just off calle Fabbri. In this respect it lived up to expectations but it is not a true boutique hotel, more a grand B & B with 6 rooms and a reception hall.... More

The 1 star is for the young lady who works there; she was very helpful. Everything else was so bad that I would give negative rating if I could. This is one of the worst hotels I've been in. Our room was small and extremely stuffy/dated, no AC. Since AC was broken, we had to open the window which let... More

We spent a night at the hotel after our cruise ended in Venice. Maybe our expectations were high after the luxurious accommodation on the ship, but the experience was pretty average. The receptionist/ front desk attendant was fantastic and welcomed us warmly and was extremely helpful whenever needed. Well done to you! The room was the Cassanova room with the... More

We booked this hotel on-line, had decent reviews and was within our budget. We got a nice email back from them asking when we would be arriving and such. We responded promptly saying that we would be there shortly after 3pm. Our train was slightly late, and we walked to the hotel through the streets of Venice so it took... More

This hotel was much worse than the other reviews implied. We exchanged emails with the hotel giving our arrival time. When we arrived no one was at the hotel. Another couple had been waiting outside the front door for more than two hours! When we telephoned, a very sleepy man finally arrived from another location to slowly let us in.... More

We stayed here over one night in july 2014. The receptionist gave us a warm welcoming, she started by giving us coffee and sat down with us for 15min just to go thru the city since we said we were only staying one night. she recommended alot of resturants and pointed them out on a map, she also told us... Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
