We went to Venice for the weekend and we wanted a hotel which is comfortable. clean and quite and has a good location from the main key places. The staff was friendly and we did not face any issue with wifi. Last but not least, we did not spend much time at the hotel apart from taking a shower and... More

We loved it! It was only for one night but we found a cosy and beautiful room with typical Venice decoration. Kind and helpful service. Good location, in the center, 5min from the Piazza San Marco. The breakfast was great.

We stayed there 3 nights before a cruise and we didn't like it because whenever we told them there was a problem with something they just didn't care and didn't offer any compensation. The wifi was unusable in our room on the second floor. Solution: go down to the breakfast area to use wifi. They say wifi is available in... More

Casa Artè is an average hotel. We booked a room, without making a reservation, which made it a bit high in price. The location was ok, in the center of Venice, so this was a good place to stay. Tips: - Don't use a bottle of chloride to clean the bathroom - Offer more breakfast than a croissant, small bread... More

Very nice place, great location. We stayed in the family room it was big, very clean and we loved the Venetian stile of the room. Breakfast was great... A quick bite to start the day! The staff was nice and very helpful.

The best parts of Casa Arte are the location and the accommodating staff. The staff clearly tries hard and is very accommodating and helpful. The price was fair based on the location in one of the few truly unique places on earth. We stayed in one of the family apartments in the annex that was quite a bit more spacious... More

If you're looking for affordability in a great location in Venice this is it. Location is always important but in Venice it can be critical. This small hotel is located just 100 yards from the northern foot of the Accademia Bridge. Almost everyone in Venice can direct you to the bridge and there are only two locations in Venice with... The room was adequate for our one night in Venice. Pretty basic but in a good location. Breakfast provided a good start to the day. Biggest problem was that the air conditioner dripped while it was running so by morning the carpet was quite wet. I hadn't been expecting anything super great so I wasn't really disappointed, we were just... More

The room I got was better than I was expecting, it had a kitchenette, sofas and a little balcony that was right above a canal. It was old but ok. Unfortunately we notice that there was a school right in front of the room, because Saturday morning we were waken up by the loud voices of the italian kids. The... More

Convenient location, but massive mold issue all over the room. Staff did not care, and no other rooms available. Bathroom tub was rotten and decayed. gross place. The location was great though.... not sure. very torn about this location. There was an egregious amount of mold. yuck.

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
