The hostel is located right next to the fish market near the Rialto bridge. As every location in venice, it was a little bit hard to find it but with the direction given we managed to arrive. The rooms are very clean as well as the showers/toilettes. Breakfast is simple but served for free.

Great hostel, great rooms with big space, nice and tidy, very near piazza san marco and like 15 minutes walking from train station sta lucia. Staff is wonderfull. Price is excelent. Good breakfast included. Only problem is you dont have elevator, but you have a eletric elevator for wheel chairs. Thats about the only problem. If your looking for a... More

Pretty nice B&B. Located in 4 minutes walk from Rialto bridge. Nice clean beds, good breakfast and very positive overall impression. Just one thing to mention. On floor 1 room 1 is not very good, because of nearby toilet and high noise level. You would not be dissapointed if you choose Best Holidays B&B!

We were a little leary of getting lost trying to find this hotel, however if you follow the map that they send you, it is super easy to find. Get off the Vaporetta #1 at Rialto Fish Market... walk straight for a few meters until you can turn right. Walk over the small bridge and take your first left. Walk... More

felt more like a hostel than a b&b as there are only 3 bathrooms between all the guests. the owner was very helpful and very friendly, and we would definite stay here again! the breakfast was not great, could do with a bit more choice. the location was perfect though, not too far from the train station and also close... Hostel, not for families with kids. You have to share a bathroom with others. We chose the wrong place to stay. Website is somewhat misleading. We had a shared bedroom when we thought we had a room to ourselves. Strange situation. No TV although website states there is. It's like living in someone's older house with many rooms. Location is... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
