This Hotel is a little out of the way, but the service is so excellent, it's worth the walk. I would highly recommend it. The front desk desk was excellent, the room was impeccable. i cant say enough nice things about it.

As usual, tried to get a hotel with a top rating on TripAdvisor and this one was a winner as well. The location turns out to be very good. We arrived in the rain and they were able to hire a porter for us who met us the Hertz rental office in the Piazzale Roma with a hand cart, tarp... More

This hotel is a must stay when in Venice. The property is tucked into a quiet corner of Venice along the canal. The ambience is intimate with old world charm. Breakfast is delicious with everything and more than you can imagine being offered. But the heart and soul of the Hotel Moresco lies within their staff. I don't think I've... More

My daughter as part of my 70th birthday arranged for the two of us to spend 3 nights in Venice and found this gem of an hotel. From check in to check out the staff could not have done more, Mirco and Fabio in particular were extremely helpful as were the rest of the staff. The breakfasts were wonderful so... More

stayed 3 nights 16-19 May 2015 - decided to take mum to venice for her 70th birthday, she had been once many years ago and it would be my first time - checked out hotels on tripadvisor as always and decided Hotel Moresco looked perfect - we were not disappointed in any way - even pre arrival the staff are... The hotel is not far away from the city attractions and is very close from Piazzale Roma where the bus from the airport arrives. The staff is very friendly and helpful and when we arrived they offered us a welcome drink and something to eat. The rooms are arranged very confortable and there was always a bottle of water for... We spent three nights in the Moresco on our visit to Venice and have nothing but praise for the facilities and Staff. The Hotel is new but in a period style which was marvellous. The amenities are all first class but most importantly the Staff provide a level of Service that ensures your visit is made as simple and stress... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Moresco for three nights and our time was by far the best hotel experience of our lives! The staff treated us like royalty from check-in to check-out. From the welcome drink and bottle of wine to the personalized attention, we couldn't ask for more. We enjoyed a made to order breakfast every morning... More

This is massively overdue as me and my boyfriend stayed in the Moresco in July 2014! We stayed for three nights in Venice, the first two were spent in a hotel in San Marco and the final night in the Moresco. I would say the location of the hotel is perfect, as it is away from all the tourists in... More

We had no real idea what to expect given the age of the building, so to say it exceeded our expectations seems a little inadequate in describing this gem. From the moment we walked in to the lobby to moment the concierge lifted our suitcases in to the water taxi to leave, we were made feel welcome. Seriously, nothing was... More

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.
