The hotel is near Rialto and St.Angelos vaporetto stop, and a 10' walk from St Marcos square , in a quite street. Our room, 106, was small with a hidden window,so I wouldn't recommend this room, unless you are unable to go up the stairs. It was clean, warm, with very hot water, confortable big bed and great Wi-fi. The breakfast was typical continental, next time I... More

Positives: Great location to everything Cosy, comfortable room Reasonable price Be sure to have the directions on how to get there. All of Venice is a bit if a maze and all places are a bit tricky to find the first time. Would stay again.

We stayed at Casa Fenice for four nights. The hotel is close to the San Marcs - we recommend mapping out how to get there the first time as we got lost (Do not use Google Maps as it takes you to the wrong location). The breakfast is great, the receptionist is very nice and always gave us great recommendations... More

We stayed at Casa Fenice for three nights in July. The hotel is on a small, quiet, safe street, away from the hustle and bustle. We were greeted by the owner / receptionist who was great. She was very helpful in giving us recommendations for the surrounding area. We only saw her between the hours of 8 and midday, so... More

Casa Fenice is in a quiet street, however a 10-15 minute work from Rialto and San Marco Square. A little difficult to find the first time- so make sure you have good directions. The room for 3 people was spacious, and well furnished. A simple continental breakfast was served in the room. Nice bathroom, efficient wifi.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Even though the hotel doesn't look that compelling on the outside it is very cute and cosy on the inside. The hotel is located at a calm street and near all the main attractions. The location is one of the best things about the hotel! The room was also very clean and the... More

We stayed here of three nights at the end of April, the Casa Fenice was perfectly placed for all attractions. We received a warm welcome from the two ladies. Room was very clean, breakfast served in our room was more than adequate. Would love to go back someday.

We are looking to go back to Venice again and was looking at b&b's and found this one. We stayed here couple of years ago in December but I obviously didn't review our lodgings. Well please stay at this lovely little place. We got direct instructions how to find it via email before we departed the UK and it isn't... More

Me and my husband stayed here for 4 nights and we loved it. The location is fantastic, so close to San Marco Square, Rialto and of course Teatro La Fenice. It's very clean and the staff are so lovely, they could not do more for us. We had breakfast brought to our room each morning. The ladies were so friendly... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
