We had a beautiful stay celebrating a family member 60th birthday. The reception staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were good size and view of the courtyard. The bar was not open past 8pm during our stay which was a bit of a shame when after dinner we would have liked to have chatted over a drink. This was probably... more

We stayed at the Foscari Palace in June and found none of the faults that some of the previous Reviewers found. The staff were very helpful, the room we had was perfect and included a small enclosed terrace which was great to sit out in during the evening before we headed out to dinner - this is room 301 if... more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, June 10-13. The location was perfect, on the Grand Canal, right next to the vaporetto stop and the traghetto. The Rialto Market was directly across the street and can be reached by traghetto in a minute. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The room was adequate size with a nice bathroom and... more

My husband and I stayed here on a visit to Italy in late January of 2009. I am quite picky when it comes to hotels, and quite used to the modern amenities and luxuries sometimes taken for granted in US hotels. :) We were a little nervous since our top choices in Venice were booked. There did not seem to... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Foscari Palace. The hotel is very nicely decorated and clean. The fruit basket provided upon arrival was wonderful. We splurged on the canal-front suite on the second floor and are very glad we did. It is a huge, amazing room with unbeatable views of the canal, gondolas, and the vaporettos going back and forth... more

This is just the kind of hotel we were hoping to find in Venice - away from the big crowds, but still beautiful, updated, and very walkable to all the big sights. Right on the Grand Canal - with gondoliers outside, and a water bus stop just around the next building. We had a lovely (superior double) room with a... more

A nice looking hotel in a good location, but looks are not everything. Room was clean and breakfast was fine. After that we don't have much good to say. Bed was very hard. The air conditioning did not work the first night of our stay. There was a new clerk (first day on the job) at the front desk on... more

This is a luxury hotel with friendly and helpful staff situated two or three hundred metres up the Grand Canal from the Rialto Bridge. We booked a "Superior" grade room as it was a special occasion for us and we weren't disappointed. It was spacious with windows overlooking the Campo S. Sofia and a slightly oblique view of the Grand... more

Trip started off badly, googled Foscari Palace and walked to it from the airport bus only to find we arrived at the University - so a bit of a walk from there to the hotel. The hotel was lovely, although the room had no view, only the opposite wall across the narrow alleyway, it was very quiet (we have previously... more
