We slightly disappointed to find two single beds, rather than a double bed. The room was small, though we were pleased to have a view of the canal. We had to share a large bathroom with two other rooms. The staff was mostly nice, though we were told there are no maps available, but we later saw the lady give... More

This hotel is situated next to piazale roma: the central area from where you can take the bus, vaporeto etc. It is also within walking distance from almost everywhere. I stayed there for one week, and I have to say that this is an extremely clean and tidy hotel. The rooms are smallish: there was no table so I had... More

I booked this through Booking.com and was very satisfied. I understand that this hotel was a former convent, so the rooms are small but clean and perfectly adequate. Venice is expensive and we didn't want to spend all of our money on accommodations, for a place we were just going to sleep, so this fit the bill. We were on... More

Venice is expensive, and it's hard to find a good room for a reasonable price. Having stayed at other hotels and guesthouses in Venice, I would say Casa Sant'Andrea is a very good option for the price (I booked it through Logitravel and had no problems through that portal). The room was huge, the toilet clean. Free wi-fi and the... More

I came with friends for a 4-day holiday and stayed on this hotel. The man who introduced himself as the manager was very rude and arrogant. He doesn't treat the guests with respect and worst of all he claimed that he's been with the hotel for 13 years?!how is that possible? He's definitely not a good asset for the hotel. The... More

Hotel very easy to find from Bus Station, bearing in mind this is only a two star hotel, no frills but exceptionally clean. Rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels. Unfortunately whilst we were there it was like staying at St Trinians (a very very noisy group of school girls were staying in our corridor on an art tour) But I... More

This place is in a former monastery, very close to the train station which is convenient but not super close to where all the sites are. I mean it's Venice so wherever you look there are canals and history and it's beautiful but there isn't a whole lot of action here. It's close to public transportation: bus, train, a water... More

My husband, Doug, and I arrived in Venice on October 3, 2013. We had booked through Monastery Stays prior to departing Vancouver and found very last minute space at the Casa Sant'Andrea. This former monastery was such a pleasant surprise! Located about 5 minutes from the S. Lucia train station, where we arrived from Florence. We turned to the right,... More

First of all the location is ideal for anyone doing a short stay, its near to the roads, bus station, train station and water taxi stop- this makes it easy to get in and out of Venice as well as around to all the tourist attractions. The rooms are very basic (just beds and furniture) but pleasant and nicely decorated.... More

My wife and I plus a friend took a cruise from Venice in late November. We selected the Casa for the same reason others have reported - location. It is near the bus stop from the airport (Piazzale Roma), the People Mover, a grocery store with a good selection of wine, and Vaporetto stops. It was very easy to find... More
