Anywhere in Venice is expensive or cramped or very noisy. Tolentini manage to be in a convenient location, relatively quiet (occasional noise from restaurant downstairs and people on the thoroughfare) and not extortionate. Friendly staff, reasonable size rooms and good restaurant downstairs (not part of hotel). Downside, the breakfast (at nearby cafe) is acceptable but not the best and the... More

My wife and I, along with friends, stayed here in Venice for 4 nights. The hotel was a bit hard to find, I called the proprietor, Andrea, and he gave directions. Once we got straightened out, it was very easy to find. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor away from the street (Rm.... More

We had a heck of a time finding this place tucked away down a small side street, and you have to go up a set of stairs to reach the reception area. But our hosts were gracious, spoke English well (to accommodate our utter lack of Italian), and our rooms were nice. Skip the free breakfast though - it's just... More

Got here Wednesday 09/17/2014 from Roma for a 5-day stay. Andrea (proprietor) had given us great directions to get in, but like always we got a bit tangled around. In actuality, B&B only about 10-minute walk from train station, either using the Ponte degli Scalzi or Ponte della Constituzione bridges over the Grande Canal. Met with Andrea, who checked us... Fabulous location, just next door to Piazzale Roma. This is our second time staying in Venice and have to say the location couldn't be better. It was a short walk from the train station to the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in early and took advantage of touring our surroundings. Shower pressure was phenomenal. Rooms... More

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel ai Tolentini for 4 nights. Very close to the bus and railway station. No more than a 10 min walk to both. We arrived at Santa Lucia Station after travelling overnight and got to the hotel around 11am where we were surprised to hear that our room was already available. As previously mentioned... More

I would give a fair review, so first the part which left a bad taste - we were charged for extra bed for kid even though we did not request. The hotel refused to reverse the charges despite the fact that hotels.com (booking partner) highlighted them of their mistake. Decent rooms for one star.

As we wanted to stay close to the train station to take our early flight the next morning at 7:00 AM we tried this littel hotel. It was clean but the room was very small and noisy: you hear everything from the street all night long ! It was my 3rd time in Venice and I wouldn't recommend this hotel... More

Initially it was a little hard to find. We realized that my sense of direction is not perfect! :)) The entry stairs are steep and you need to take care. We arrived a lot earlier than we should and our room was still in the cleaning process but the staff cleared the room so that we can leave our bags... More

At first we were worried about the 1 star, but we couldn't have been more wrong in such a pleasant way! This was the longest leg of our trip, and I would say the BEST! We stayed here for 3 nights and I could not have imagined a better place to stay. Although the room was small, it was big... More
