As others have commented the location is different than the one stated in most websites, but turns out to be a very convenient one. The place is clean and quiet, so I would definitely recommend it for travelers on a budget :)

The rooms were ok and it was in great location opposite the railway station but the breakfast was very ordinary ie a biscuit and coffee/tea but they give you no implements to spread something on your biscuit. It does have a fridge. The staff cld have been more helpful and it does not have any computer/wi fi accessibility and nearest... More

Great location within easy walk of the Piazzale Roma 2 min (the main bus stop). Very friendly and helpful staff. Venice has an abundance of accomodation, and although this was a decent walk from the main tourist sites, it was definitely worth the compromise. Hop on the route 1 Vaporetto all the way down the Grand Canal to St Marks... More

My friend and I were very pleasantly surprised by this hostel. We booked a 7 bed dorm (as we could not afford anything less!) but when we arrived we were told that our room was actually a 20 minute walk away. We were armed with a map and an address and off we went. When we arrived at our place,... More

This hostel was really quite nice. There were only 7 beds in our room and we had a private bathroom for the room, which was nice. The bathroom was completely cleaned each day. The beds were cots and were decently comfortable. Everything was clean, which was refreshing after staying at hostels and friends places for weeks. The view of the... More

Careful when booking at this hostal. Our experience was horrible. The hostal in theory is well situated but in our case we were sent to a horrible humid groundfloor house on the other side of the river, in the middle of the old Judish Gettho. Netheless to say that it's not a good experience to arrive in the middle of... More

Everything was fine with the exception of the beds, which were BAD, and the "breakfast" they claim to provide. The bathroom was clean, the view of the canal below was lovely. The beds were a disaster and the breakfast was melba toast with honey and jam packets, instant coffee packets and tea bags. Not impressive. That said, the plastic cups... More

Just returned fron 5 day Autumn break in Venice. Clara and Vera both charming. Ca Speranza in fab location, basic but very clean with new bathroom and decoration. Beds bit lumpy as other reviewers point out but actually they do get better as they mould to your shape! Anyway, don't think you could do any better in this price bracket.... More

Ca'Speranza is in a great location in the centre of Venice, very close to the Rialto bridge. The room we stayed in was very small and basic but clean enough. The only downside were the extremely uncomfortable, lumpy beds and for this reason alone I would not recommend the place........unless you don't plan on sleeping! The owner was very friendly... More
