Modern and design and very well located. Service excellent with very good breakfast. However avoid room 3 and 4 located near the entrance which are noisy. Good patio to eat and very close to the vaporetto stop which makes it very practocal. Direct access to Grande canal

This is a superb Hotel, genuinely friendly staff in a fantastic location. Ticks all the boxes...locatjon and style...at sensible prices. Venice sometimes lets you down, but this Hotel deserves all the plaudits it gets.. Rooms are sophisticated and modern, only let down, air con still off on a warm Spring day...Management please note...

Great hotel choice if you want to balance luxury with cost. Room Space is plenty considering its Venice. Newly renovated and hotel surprised us with choc cake and wine for our honeymoon booking. Location worth it as the vaporetto stop is right outside and a shuttle boat to airport is available as well. Hotel room cleaned regularly at twice a... More

Had a wonderful three night stay at Palazzo Barocci. So luxurious. Loved the room, the bathroom was spectacular. Canal view was brilliant (although you would need to specify when booking. Small negative, if you get a view of the canal you also hear the traffic on the canal). Service was excellent. Great location. Highly recommend it.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and quiet. The staff were all friendly and good breakfast from Olga who welcomed us with a pot of tea each morning. The location on the Grand canal was great and the trip from the airport so easy with the S.Angelo stop right outside the hotel. They must have discovered it was Gary's birthday from... More

I understand this hotel may be fairly new to Venice but couldn't really fault it. It's conveniently positioned for the trip in from the airport being right next to the S'Angelo stop but yet not disturbed by that. The greeting and check in was a warm one and a chance to meet some of the staff who had been so... More

Superb location on the Grand Canal between Rialto and St Mark's - looking through the doors from reception it appears as if you will step straight out into the water. Just steps from the water bus stop, where you can catch a Vaporetto no. 1 which goes from the station to the Lido, or an Alilaguna boat to or from... More

This hotel has made our travel experience of the magical Venice even more amazing. The service was excellent, all staff very professional and friendly, rooms stylish, clean and cozy. The hotel has an absolute terrific location. It is not only just a few minutes walk to all the main sights, but also has a Vaporetto/Alilaguna stop just outside of its... More

This hotel has a wonderful location and warm and friendly staff. What sets this hotel apart from any other I've stayed in anywhere is the healthful breakfast buffet. The high quality of the raw products, the presentation of the food and the nutritional value plus the service of the staff were more than could be expected at the best health... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
