Location can't be beat and the staff and breakfast are excellent! We were upgraded to a room overlooking the courtyard/restaurant. Be careful of the Venice pigeons by the way, they'll eat off your plate!

My 18 year old daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of March. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and modern. It was by far my favorite hotel during our trip to Italy as we also stayed at hotels in Rome and Florence as well. Our room was much larger than expected and decor was very nice.... More

I stayed here with my family and some friends about a week ago. We've visited Venice many times and my sister lives in the city and this was by far the best hotel experience we've ever had in Venice. The staff are exceptional (especially Federica and Silvana), they constantly looked after our needs and made sure our stay was special.... More

Very good. Excellent location, clean, very friendly personnel. Our room was a bit small (it was lowest price, though), but well organized, facing very quite street (calle in Venetian) On wife's birthday we found bottle of prosecco and a cake in the room - that was very pleasant.

Our first visit in Venice, we stayed here for 4 nights. Arriving by water taxi (arranged by Federica & Yana, who were always helpful and lovely to deal with, making most of our dinner reservations for us in advance of our arrival), the hotel has a private water taxi dock only steps away from it's front door. The arrival is... More

We stayed two nights. Our room was large, light and airy with windows to the internal courtyard and to the garden terrace at the back. The room consisted of a bedroom area, a small lounge area and a tiny dressing room which included a safe. It was spotless and had the most comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast buffet was... Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
