This nicely appointed boutique hotel on Giudecca is a short water taxi or vaporetto ride away from the main tourist area of the Rialto Bridge and that's what makes it so appealing. The rooms are clean, quiet, air-conditioned, well-maintained and good sized, with comfortable beds. The included breakfast is very appealing with a good assortment of breads and pastries, meats,... This lovely hotel is in a fabulous location (even if we did have a slight problem finding it!) - quiet and extremely well situated for the vaporetto stop. It was clean and peaceful with friendly staff and air conditioned rooms (which we needed as it was over 30 degrees in Venice when we visited). I'd love to come back and... More

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was charming with a lovely big bathroom. Modern and clean. The lobby/ bar area downstairs was small but very nice and it was great that you can sit outside by the water in a little alcove for two. Downside - I don't think there's any excuse for a hotel not... More

Staff was very kind and gave us good tips regarding the city. Positive: price, clean, new equipments, breakfast and staff. However, we had issues. 1- shower was crazy. Sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold. I did not even touch anything and water temperature was changing every 4 seconds. 2- I was there for 2 nights, on my second day, I... More

I stayed here for four nights with my mum. I've been to Venice before but she hadn't and because she is fussy it was really important to me to find something suitable! The first thing to point out us that the hotel is not on the actual island with most of the Venice stuff eg St Marks. As the name... More

Hotel was lovely, clean and very friendly / helpful staff! The room was light and cool and the mini deal is brill!! Our room was on the second floor and over looked the canal. It em has great access to the water bus, and takes you right in to the main part of Venice. Well worth a visit!

The hotel is only a few stops by waterbus from all the main attractions and is on an island which was peaceful in May with a few good places to eat overlooking the water. My room was clean and the reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is fairly basic, no hot food and the bed was a bit hard,... More

Spent four nights with my partner in this lovely hotel and had a really enjoyable time. The staff:Eleonora at reception and Simonetta in the breakfast room were friendly and efficient. Loved everything about the hotel and hope to come back again soon. Maria

Whilst on a week's holiday in Bologna we looked for a two day break (one night) in Venice: somewhere comfortable, reasonably priced and with consistently good reviews. The Domina Home met the criteria and luckily had a vacancy or two. Lovely from the moment we arrived: friendly welcome, quiet, clean, away from the crowds. Breakfast (included in our room rate)... Staying in Giudecca

Neighborhood Profile
Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.
