The room and breakfast were nice. It's in a nice area, but the staff most of the time was difficult to find and not always helpful. To me they were pricey for what we got, especially compared to other hotels on our trip.

I stayed in this hotel with my wife for 3 nights. Firstly, this place is very conveniently located close to San Marco Square which is only a few hundred metres from the hotel. Lot of restaurants and shops at every step. So you wont get bored. Also, right in front of the hotel there is a canal where you can... More

Great location - 5 mins walk to San Marco, but very quiet, great spacious rooms (we had a family room - which is basically two rooms with a private hallway to join them, which was great. Friendly and helpful staff, and a very nice continental breakfast. Good value for money too. So why not 5 stars? One of the rooms... More

We loved staying in Ca Del Campo for 2 days during our trip. From the moment we stepped into hotel from our very long trip the receptionist was really helpful and made sure we have everything we need. The room was really clean and breakfast in the morning was perfect! You felt like you were a guest in someone's home!... More

Nice and close to St Mark's square and the vaporetto stop. Large, comfortable rooms. The breakfast room was lovely and sunny with beautiful china. The selection of food was not huge but was adequate. I would stay here again.

This was a quiet hotel set a short distance from the central square, and pretty well placed for the main sights. Staff very pleasant with english spoken - rooms clean and well-appointed. Breakfast was continental and a bit basic but ok - loads of restaurants within easy walking distance - just ask the staff, who will supply a map.

Came here with my boyfriend for his 18th birthday and our anniversary and we couldn't be happier with this hotel. The room was very spacious and clean with a great bathroom. The bed was comfy but had to use the extra pillows provided. Wifi connection was brilliant and free, you just need to ask at reception for the password. We... More

After 3 nights staying here, I check out yesterday at 12 noon to travel to Spain. When I arrived in Spain I realised I had left a very expensive new unworn dress ( paid 600 euro for it) hanging in the wardrobe. After only 5 hours of leaving this hotel, I ring them in desperation to let them know the... More

This hotel was perfect for my trip. Not too far from st.marks square and all the attractions. Was quiet, didn't get disturbed and room was perfect size. Staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough. Breakfast was quaint but was more than enough to get your day started. This hotel is a little gem that is perfect for solo... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
