We only spent 1 night at the San Maurizio but we had a great experience. The hotel staff were very helpful with their restaurant recommendations and suggested places to visit. The location was great. Everything was within walking distance. If you don't want to walk, the vaporetto is within a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

This place is supurb. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed a big amazing bed, excellent wifi connection and a good price along with the friendliest staff ever... and we stayed in the cheap rooms! We shared bathrooms with other rooms and it never felt dirty and they cleaned the room and made up the bed every day. But the best part... More

The location is very good indeed - close to the Accademia bridge, close to San Marco but not too close. The square outside is quiet, not one of the most charming in Venice but nice enough. The staff were very friendly and obliged us by storing our bags for a couple of hours before check-in. The room had some nice... More

The good part of the hotel is the location and the receptionists. Both the old lady and a Sri Lankan guy were really good and helpful. All the attractions in Venice are nearby and within walking distance. San Marco is just a 2-3 mins walk. Giglio is the Line 1 stoppage again very close to the hotel. BUT now the... More

We enjoyed sleeping here for 2 nights. It is closer to giglio ferry then san marco but both are easy to get to. No view of the outside, but really not necessary when you will likely be out exploring Venice more. Area is very central, and the best price I was able to find. You'll likely share a bathroom between... More

This was a definite low-light in our honeymoon. Our first room had stains and hairs on the bed so we were moved. The second had a clogged shower and a broken shower door. The air-con barely worked so we sweated through three nights. The rooms look NOTHING like the pictures. For gods sake, just keep looking. We hated our time... More

Walking distance to San Marco. We stayed at the hotel, not the residencia. Room is small but clean, nicely decorated. Only problem we had was we could hear next room's snoring at night. But overall, our stay was pleasant. Staff are helpful, affordable room rate and the location is great. Don't forget to walk, visit piazza san marco at night.... More

The wifi is nice and strong in the room. The breakfast room is beautiful with a lot of sweets in the morning and a good coffee machine. The staff was friendly and the location was great--close to Giglio ferry dock and St. Marco Piazza. There's no view from the room but it's fine and quiet. My mom wish there'd be... More

I would definitely stay at the San Maurizio Residence again. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, recently decorated and a good size. The staff at reception were really friendly and helpful. I'm not sure what the facilities are like in the hotel which is separate to the Residence (Residenza). It's within easy walking distance to St Mark's Square and other... More

Perfect location (near to S.Marco square and next to Giglio station), nice clean rooms, friendly and helpful stuff, nice-hearty breakfast. Maybe a little bit overrated price in order with the accommodations it offers (no view, small bathroom). But generally, Residenza San Maurizio, was a pleasant stay!
