The room was very nice, clean without a problem. Even if it is just a small building in Venice it has an elevator so don't worry about the heavy luggage. It is a bit far from the Roma Piazzale, the entrance to Venice, but it was ok.

Stayed at Forcola for 3 nights location was great for the water bus and restaurants and bars almost on every corner. Our room faced the courtyard was very quiet, room clean, the beds very comfortable. The room had air con which was a blessing as the weather during our visit was glorious for October reaching the mid 20's Breakfast was... More

The best thing about this hotel was how nice and helpful everyone at the front desk was. We booked a canal view room but you had to lean way out over the big window ledges to even see the canal, probably not worth the extra price, unless the that room is bigger than the others, I'm not sure. The room... More

We came across La Forcola by accident when we were unable to find our original hotel. A few couples had seen us struggling with luggage and a toddler and walked us to their hotel where the older gentleman welcomed us in. He had an extra room available which was one of the largest with a view at no extra cost!... More

The bed was good, linens nice, staff friendly, room quiet, location convenient, the room clean, price good for venice. If you want a huge room, don't stay here but expect to pay a lot more. Or stay at home and quite whining.

Good location, on the main path to San Marco square, approx. 30 minutes walk. Our room (203) was facing a courtyard and was very quiet. The room itself though was just about adequate. Taking a shower was quite precarious in the tiny bath tub. Barely enough storage place for clothes. The bed was comfortable and bedding was always clean. Breakfast... More

If you can, please please avoid this hotel at all costs. We stayed here for two nights and these nights ruined our stay in Venice. The breakfast is terrible at best. The location is quite far from the train station (had to haul our luggage for 20 minutes to get to the front desk and upon calling the hotel they... More

The hotel was in a great location. It is located on one of the smaller waterways and has a little bridge right next to the front door. Our room had 2 windows overlooking the little waterway. The hotel is also located on the main road that takes your directly to San Marco Piazza and the bus/train terminals. Immediately outside the... More

While I recognize light sleepers might find the ambient noise outside Hotel Forcola prohibitive to slumber, I doubt there's any place in Venice that would be exempt from that scourge. Having gotten that detail out of the way, let me proclaim Hotel Forcola an ideal spot for my visit in Venice. Elegant, intimate, and staffed by helpful and friendly personnel,... More

Hotel was in a great location- 15 minute walk from San Marco Piazza and the train station. very close by to the Bille supermarket, where you could buy cheap merchandise and groceries. Charming little building, but could be so much more with a little more maintenance (mostly painting the dingy walls). Room was small but efficient. Linens were cleaned daily.... More
