While I recognize light sleepers might find the ambient noise outside Hotel Forcola prohibitive to slumber, I doubt there's any place in Venice that would be exempt from that scourge. Having gotten that detail out of the way, let me proclaim Hotel Forcola an ideal spot for my visit in Venice. Elegant, intimate, and staffed by helpful and friendly personnel,... More

Hotel was in a great location- 15 minute walk from San Marco Piazza and the train station. very close by to the Bille supermarket, where you could buy cheap merchandise and groceries. Charming little building, but could be so much more with a little more maintenance (mostly painting the dingy walls). Room was small but efficient. Linens were cleaned daily.... More

This small hotel is just a few vaporetto stops (San Marcuola) from the train station. Our room looked over a small square & the rooftops of Venice. The breakfast buffet was simple & sufficient. The bathtub was a little strange (I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of it) but the room was fine, nothing spectacular but good for sleeping.... More

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on my own and was very happy with everything. Staff were kind (and I gather a lot aren't in venice). Room was big enough, clean and and actually very nice if you don't count the scuff marks on the walls. Working air conditioning (much needed) and even a balcony! Good location- 2 minute... More

A little rough in bathroom but linen changed daily and cleaned well. The bathroom is a crazy set up but functional. Location is good. Close to grand canal, supermarket, casino and general shops. Air conditioned. Breakfast is fresh. Quiet area in back rooms. Good budget hotel.

The hotel is in 10 min walking distance to train station. When you have to go to bus station with yr luggage pay the 10 euro for porter service because you have to cross a large bridge with a lot of steps. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. I read a couple of reviews before I left... More

I have just come back from staying at La forcola for the past five days and I want to give them a balanced review. So lets start with the good, firstly the price was excellent (I know its off season so there are some good deals around) and secondly by Venetian standards the breakfast was really quite good, fresh croissants... The location is good. Comparing with most of hotels in Venice, this hotel is very close to the train station. And compare with a lot of expensive hotels, the price of this hotel is very good. There are some bad reviews about this hotel, but I think it's depends on what kind of room they stayed. We booked the canal... More

We stayed for two nights in late September 2013. The map on the site was poor and being our first time in Venice, was difficult to find. After more than an hour we stumbled upon it. It's actually only 10 minutes from the train station. The map they gave us when we arrived was much better. I wish I had... More
