I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights at the end of a Cosmos tour and it was not bad. Of course its not right in Venice; that would be really expensive. Its right on the bus line, a short (15 min) ride and it was passable. If I return to Venice on my own, I will stay at this... more

The only thing going for this hotel is that it was clean. The staff were very rude & unhelpful. The food was awful to the point of being inedible. Walls of the rooms were paper thin & the charge of drinks at the bar was disgraceful .... Ten euros for two lemonaides, one topped up with fresh orange juice. There... more

Stayed here aspart of a Cosmos tour. Nothing to do in the vicinity. Had an evening meal on the first night - very disappointing. Breakfast was basic. Staff were ok. Air-conditioning in room worked well. No useful outdoor space. Wouldn't stay here again. more

We had a couple of nights here at the end of a Cosmos tour. The hotel was adequate but we weren't very impressed with the rooms. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and the bathroom door didn't go all the way down to the floor! The hotel is quite a way out of Venice too, so bear in mind that public... more

We stayed here as part of our Cosmos trip to Italy. This hotel was nicer than some of the other Cosmos hotels. The room was spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant was pretty bad. The biggest downside is that it's on the mainland and it's a good 50 minute bus ride to make it to Venice, which is... more

We stayed at the Albatros for two nights as a part of a Cosmos tour to Italy & Greece. The hotel was relatively clean in comparison to some of the other hotels we stayed at as a part of this tour. The positives - Clean and quiet hotel. The negatives - Far away from Venice (bus no 2 is 45... more

Nice cosy, hotel about 15 KM from Venice. Bus Route No. 2 takes you to Venice. Being away from the city centre, the tariff is more affordable. Room was compact, clean. Breakfast was good standard continental type. The staff were efficient. No restaurants nearby. more

We were part of a Trafalgar European tour group (cost-saver). We stayed at this hotel 2 nights and really spent minimal time in the room/hotel – after all we were in Europe to sightsee! Hotel’s positives - breakfast was okay (better than nothing) - dinner was average (not good, but not terrible either – it was edible, although some people... more

Last night hotel of our Cosmos tour to Italy and the prospect of a night on a camp style bed was not one I was looking forward to but it was OK. Room clean as were towels and linen but smelt of smoke. Good evening meal at a reasonable price. We walked into Mestre itself and really liked the centre. more

I found this hotel to be no where near as bad as other reviews had suggested. Yes, it is in the suburbs and if you arrive on a Sunday the area is deserted as the locals go out for the day with their families The hotel exterior is unprepossessing and the reception is dated however, it is clean and bright.... more
