I've been to Venice many times, so I know well the map of the city and I've chosen this hotel because of its location, that is perfect. Before booking our stay, I've read many reviews on Tripadvisor and all around the net. Some of them sounded enthusiastic, some of them really disappointing, so, In order to make our stay the... We had high hopes for this hotel after successfully finding and staying at very nice, reasonably priced hotels in Rome and Florence. This place disappointed. This hotel is very well located and while it was clean and the staff was very friendly, the room was downright depressing. It was tiny, dark stuffy and dated. Just not comfortable. Note that I... Really enjoyed our recent stay at the Locanda Fiorita.Typically Venetian in style, but quaint and quirky too. What a convenient location near all the main attractions and water bus stops.Very friendly helpful staff, infact couldnt fault this lovely place.Great value for money in an extremely expensive city.Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to people

First, let me say that the staff was very friendly, which was probably their way of keeping people from yelling at them... We booked another hotel originally, but they were overbooked and referred us to the Locanda Fiorita. We also wanted an en-suite bathroom, but Locanda Fiorita was sold out of those and we were tired of getting denied, so... More

We had a great stay at the Locanda Fiorita in Venice. Perfect location and our room was incredibly charming (we had number 10 with the balcony). Breakfast was served to us on our balcony. Some of the staff was a little bit unfriendly and at times rude, but other staff was helpful and nice. We got some bad advice regarding... More

We stayed only two nights. Venice is so touristy that I assume all hotel rooms are fairly small. This was no exception. It was a tiny room with a tiny bathroom but it worked. We had A/C and a TV and a bed. I guess that's all we needed. The reception desk was very nice and accomodating. It was a... More

We spent three nights in the Bloom & 7 Cielo building and enjoyed our stay. We had a rocky start while booking the room with incorrect information and pricing being given but once all that was straightened out, the rest of our experience was very nice. Our room was on the fourth floor (no elevator but we were warned) and... More

This hotel in Venice was really cute. Venice is so incredibly expensive that anything under about $200/night is a great deal, so getting a room for $170 in the height of tourist season in July was pretty good. It is a cute little hotel a short walk from the water ferry stop in a quiet little square, not far from... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
