This hotel is part of The Grand Monaco Hotel around the corner. Our breakfast was at that hotel every morning (very nice). Each room in this hotel is different. I only have one complaint and that was the shower. The corner rod holding the curtain was bent/not anchored at the corner, so the curtain always fell together at that point,... More

We stayed in the Palazzo Selvadego for a long weekend. Initally it was very difficult for us to find, because the pictures on the website are of the Grand Monaco Hotel, which is twinned with this one. The hotel is so close to St Marks Square it really couldn't be more central. The room was very nice and clean, incredibly... More

Having visited Venice over 20 times, we've experienced everything from B & Bs to five star hotels. Our view is that the Palazzo Selvadego offers excellent value for the money. It is located quite near to San Marco, but on a quiet street off the main tourist avenues. Selvadego does not purport to offer all "hotel" services such as a... More

Besides a large room with quality bathroom facilities (large mirror, wet room style shower, bidet and plenty of surface to spread out the toiletries) we found this hotel to be ideally suited to visiting Venice. It is steps away from San Marco Square; amidst every designer store known to man, and minutes from Rialto Bridge and Teatro Felice. Selvadego is... More

After a 14hour flight to Venice, we were tired and need to rest. It was our first visit to Venice, the water taxi ride to San Marco Square was amazing. We disembarked @ San Marco, a short stroll About 200m we were at Palazzo Selvadego. We greeted with warmth at reception and surprised to know that we were given an... More

I almost don't want to tell you all about Palazzo Selvadego--in my trips to Venice I had always thought that indifferent service, tiny rooms and ripoff pricing were the only possibilities. First: the room was big! I was so surprised at the size of the room. There was a full bathroom as well, and a set of large windows that... More

Nice rooms in a perfect location with the grand Monaco facilities and service for a portion of the price. We could see the bridge and grand canale from our room. By the way, the room was very big and nice! The staff was very rude, they said hi every time but it felt forced. They called to our room to... More

The location of this hotel is the best thing about it, it is literally only about 50 metres from St Mark's Sqr and seeing we were only going to be there for one night it was ideal. It is easy to get to by either vaporetto or water taxi, check in is at Hotel Monarco on the Grand Canal and... More

My mother and I stayed here in April for 5 nights. I emailed in advance to confirm our booking of a twin room but when we were shown to the room it had a double bed.I had no desire to share a bed with my mother and neither did she! The porter was very helpful - he settled us on... More

We originally planned to stay at the Hotel Monaco (situated on the Grand Canal) for our overnight visit to Venice. However, the price jumped up significantly before our booking so we opted for the less expensive Palazzo Selvadego. The Palazzo Selvadego is the little sister to the the Hotel Monaco and just a one-minute walk behind it. It is not... More

Dear JenniferWSammons, it is with real attention that I read your comments which give me the opportunity to improve the service offered to our Guest.
