Staff was nice. You have to check in at Hotel Monaco. Pros: Location Quiet Free boat ride to a Murano glass factory Room was spacious Bathroom was spacious and had a nice, deep bathtub for a bubble bath:) Cons: Bed was ok but would be better if it were a full size Room was huge but tiny bed

I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group through Italy! This hotel is a short walk from the Grand Canal and in a small alley area right behind San Marco Square (St Marks Square) Theres no check-in area but you can check-in at their sister hotel the Hotel Monaco and then head over to the Palazzo Selvadego.... I spent a lot of time looking for a good priced hotel in Venice and there were expensive and pretty hotels or the complete opposite. I was so impress when I found this well price hotel with perfect location, affordable, and not outdated. I booked without hesitate and we were more than pleased with it. We took the alilaguna from... I didn't know what to expect with this hotel. It is more than I would usually pay for a hotel room, but it was the cheapest hotel available on the date that I wanted to visit and I have no idea why. Nice clean room, very comfortable, I was in a single room so I wasn't really expecting too much.... More

I'm still looking for that elusive commodity - a good hotel (location, comfort) in Venice at an acceptable price, and this was not it either. Front desk so disinterested it was comic. Having to go back and forth to the big sister hotel round the corner to pay the bill. Possibly the smallest room I have ever stayed and been... More

This was a lovely small hotel but with lovely touches...only hotel in my 12 day tour that provided facilities for making a cuppa in your room, gorgeous linen hand towels and very classy 'goodies 'in the bathroom,,,granted we had to walk to its sister hotel for breakfast but what a room when we got there ..beautiful ceiling and furnishings...breakfast ok too!

Recently stayed at this hotel for two nights. I found the room very comfortable, clean and relaxing. One window opened to an alley near the Hard Rock Cafe but I never heard a sound! I read other reviews suggesting the staff did not engage. While some of the staff members may be reserved, I found the staff incredibly engaging, once... More

Loved this hotel. Our room was very spacious compared to lots of rooms in Europe. A minute's walk brings you to Piazza San Marco, the post office, shopping and various restaurants. Check in/check out is done at the Hotel Monaco and Grand Canal. Easy to get to and from the water taxi stations, gondolas and Alilaguna. Best of all, not... More

OK - location was good and although it is important, it isn't in Venice because everywhere is within easy reach of a boat stop or within walking distance. However, this hotel was very disappointing. We were allocated very small room right at the back of the hotel with old tired furniture and fittings. We both stubbed our toes on the... More

Charming hotel right around the corner from St. Mark's Square. Our room was quite charming and fist the historic character of Venice. A very quite place to stay. Walk to everything from this hotel. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
