As first time visitors to Venice, we found this hotel to be perfectly located. It's walking distance from all the main tourist attractions and fairly easy to find. The building itself is nothing fancy at all - very basic and clean. The rate seemed a little high at first, but then again everything seems to be overpriced in Venice. Breakfast... More

We found the hotel is in great location, 5 mins walk to Piazza San Marco and 15 mins to Ponte di Rialto and Rialto market. Too bad that the hotel and its street is not stated in the map we got from train station so we had to call several times to the hotel to locate it. Staffs were nice... More

Not fare from the Alilaguna waterboat transfer from the airport, lost of restaurant near by an many shops. Fenice Opera House right out the door at left side. Not far from St. Marcus square. Very good breakfast, we had a rather small room, but all right, good bed. Can come back.

We stayed here recently as a family of four and had a double and 2 singles, which pleased the children to have separate beds for once on our trip! I was surprised how much room we had as this is Venice where space is a premium. We were right next door to the breakfast room, but surprised that we didn't... More

Venice is impossibly expensive and I found this hotel through the Rick Steves travel guide, hours of web-searching revealed already booked or beyond obscenely, outrageously expensive. What makes this hotel is the client service. We arrived at 11, the room wasn't available until the 2pm check-in but we could leave our luggage. I was quite anxious as our flight the... More

We had a great experience with the lady on reception (didn't catch her name!) she was so helpful and friendly after we'd encountered a few unhelpful en route. She told us where to eat and how to get places and it was just nice after a few days on the go. Room was really nice, we stayed in a quadruple... More

Of the eight hotels we stayed in in Italy this trip Hotel Mercurio would definitely rank lowest. Shower was poor. Started off with a strong stream but died to a trickle as soon as I stepped in the shower stall. Water fluctuated from scalding to refreshing. WiFi poor. Few electrical outlets. Don't recall breakfast, must have been okay.

Small hotel is closer to central location. Easy to find from waterbus stop. Room is small but clean. Our room was close to breakfast room and very noisy in early morning as staff prepare food for breakfast. 1 room window was open when we checked in our room. That night my daughter fought with mosquitoes. Couch and table in room... More

It was close to everything in Venice, but then nothing is far away in Venice as you are on an island. The room was small, but then so is everything in Venice. The only real downside was that the electrical system was limited, i.e. not many outlets for charging up our cameras, phones, laptops at night. One of our favorite... More

Very easy to find from the vaporeto stop. Great to be close to St Marks Square. I couldn't find the hotel until I went back to the waterbus stop. So easy to find from there. Great staff. They have a computer available in the lounge which was great since my phone died. You can sit and have a drink. They... More
