The location of this grand (by which I mean huge and plush) hotel is spectacular, and getting to and from the mayhem of Venice is easy with hotel's private boat. The staff were wonderful and well intentioned, but seemed a bit inexperienced and there were too many of them, definitely outnumbering the guests. We stayed with two children and the... More

The Hotel: Grand appearance matched by the excellent service throughout our stay, the staff did everything possible to make our stay a memorable one and fully succeeded. One of the most beautiful hotels you'll ever find with views of Venice from across the Lagoon. Tip: Ask for a Lagoon view room. Staff: They seem to hire extremely well, genuinely helpful... More

I had a wonderful time during my holiday. The rooms are beautiful and the service was great. Atmosphere was amazing and historical. The staff was very helpful and friendly – The chef was absolutely wonderful, the food was fantastic and we enjoyed the delicious food & great service.

Good things first : Very nice hotel. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Room was large and clean with very comfortable beds. I was pleasantly surprised that our room was cleaned twice a day. Excellent continental breakfast. Fast wifi Slight downside: On a private island (may be good for some people). We arrived late at night so the hotel kindly... More

Came to celebrate my 40th birthday in February, received a proposal of marriage, an upgrade to a suite, service second to none, a private "james bond style" shuttle boat to main land, was treated like a movie star! ...and the finale was a red carpet send off from key staff that left me with tears in my eyes. I love... More

Beautiful hotel, set on a secluded island... We were married in Florence and spent our honeymoon in Rome, but then to our surprise, our daughter had paid for 5 days in this hotel too. Like a lot of the others say, it is a wonderful place, and we felt like royalty. It's very reasonable to stop here, even though it... More

The San Clemente Palace is absolutely beautiful! On its own tranquil island with private shuttle service, a service staff ready to serve your every need, it's truly a wonderful place. Concierge service is fantastic and hotel staff were lovely! The room overlooking the water was amazing. A magical experience!

An amazing retreat away from the hordes of Venice. A perfect base to explore and then find sanctuary and serious luxury. The grounds and pool were exquisite. The rooms deeply comfortable , ours had a memorable view back to St Marks, marred only by the odd cruise ship. The launch service was perfect and all the staff brilliant. The Cipriani... More

The San Clemente Palace is a gorgeous hotel on its own private island. At first we were worried about accessing the main part of Venice but with their private shuttle service there were no issues! We could jet across to Venice, explore the amazing city and simply catch the next shuttle boat back to the hotel (they come every half... More

We stayed for one night at the San Clemente; their final night before closing for the winter. The St. Regis is the only property on the island of San Clemente, and is a 15 minute water taxi ride south of the main islands. The hotel is unique to Venice - its really specious and has wonderful views of the lagoon;... More
