The San Clemente Palace is absolutely beautiful! On its own tranquil island with private shuttle service, a service staff ready to serve your every need, it's truly a wonderful place. Concierge service is fantastic and hotel staff were lovely! The room overlooking the water was amazing. A magical experience!

An amazing retreat away from the hordes of Venice. A perfect base to explore and then find sanctuary and serious luxury. The grounds and pool were exquisite. The rooms deeply comfortable , ours had a memorable view back to St Marks, marred only by the odd cruise ship. The launch service was perfect and all the staff brilliant. The Cipriani... More

The San Clemente Palace is a gorgeous hotel on its own private island. At first we were worried about accessing the main part of Venice but with their private shuttle service there were no issues! We could jet across to Venice, explore the amazing city and simply catch the next shuttle boat back to the hotel (they come every half... More

We stayed for one night at the San Clemente; their final night before closing for the winter. The St. Regis is the only property on the island of San Clemente, and is a 15 minute water taxi ride south of the main islands. The hotel is unique to Venice - its really specious and has wonderful views of the lagoon;... More

I was told this was one of the most prestigious hotels in Venice, which built up my expectations perhaps too much. The room they reserved for me although good sized, hardly had any windows, there were two small windows high up on the high-ceilinged wall, so there was no view, and I was reminded how the place used to be... If you are going to Venice, I can suggest ST. Regis, Venice. It was an amazing experince. At first I really enjoyed to walk over the island. The rooms were big and I was feeling strange in a good mood with the view. The breakfast was really good and the service was great. Also the food and service of Aquarello... More

Several items are just not acceptable at such a beautiful resort. Some details: - pick-up from airport is organized via car to the train station and then by boat for over EUR 200. That is a waste of money and time. Go to the pier and take a taxi, it costs half! - rooms on the ground floor smell of... More

I hope this may help first time travellers to Venice & assist those looking for a fabulous hotel. We arrived early Sat morning and were unsure of the procedure for our travel to to the hotel. We took the water taxi, easy to find...just follow everyone else! 15 euros pp for the journey to our hotel off the main island of... More

Spacious, newly refurbed, helpful staff, great concierge, good breakfast, perfect for escaping the Venice crowds. The hotel is on its own island, 15 mins by boat to Venice mainland. Hotel provides a free and reliable transfer every 30 mins to and from St Marks Square. I was with my husband and two kids and would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the St Regis for a couple nights during our recent 2-week tour of Italy where we stopped in several cities with Venice being our 3rd stop after Florence. I heartedly agree with all of the reviews of this lovely property. Once we arrived, the St Regis became our "destination" - trips via the water shuttle to Venice,... More
